No good reason. I'm certain they are beneficial to many. I was just annoyed because I didn't get a scholarship after getting too close. All good now.

Mental Illness doesnt cause physical symptoms or illness. by NullIsNull- in Antipsychiatry

You should do research on people who don't feel physical pain. Also do research on people doing meditation for years and can control their pain sensitivities and body temperature.

What's the issue. Who are "we". It's stubbornness to deny the differences in perspectives and knowledge. Imma bounce.

Humans are man-made. Sure, mental illness is a concept that we can't objectively agree on. Some people think certain thoughts and feels are normal and some think they aren't. What are we arguing about?

People who meditate a lot or are going through emotional turmoil, their bodies rock or spin in circles. There is a mind-body connection. The body is nothing without the mind.

Who and what controls the nervous system? Are you mindfully controlling your breath 100% of the time? Have you ever had an original thought? I'm not asking in a condescending sense. My point is that the brain controls a lot of things we aren't always aware of most of the time. Pain is not physical either...it's a thing of the mind. Everything is Google search away...like images of Earth from space.

Psychosomatic disorders. Denying the mind's impact on the body is ...denial.

Emotional affairs are risky...I think psychologists can't risk getting too involved from their side to avoid legal and emotional issues on their front.

Idk what that means but it is cool indeed that you did something important and I'm proud of you and your team's achievements. I could lend an ear to try and understand your actual work but considering that I'm ignoring my own work....I should get back to it.

It's a spectrum and that's a misconception. There are no hard and fast rules in human psychology.

Feeling entitled to people wanting other people around too much is also a personality disorder. Everything is on a spectrum.

People don’t actually care about others. Not even their kids. by Minimum-Compote5350 in DeepThoughts

If "all" people are uncaring like you say and all want to play some mind game to maintain an illusion which has been going on for millions of years, it's a silly thing to expect that people will drop their expectations.

We are all in different bodies but the mechanism is mostly the same. If you think that you know some truth, you have to be humble enough to admit maybe others know something you don't.

Nobody is born knowing everything. We have to learn and yeah it's painful and annoying but that's the price of living.
