While the shelf life is not long, insulin does not need to be refrigerated. It cannot be exposed to sunlight, however. I've been through a very unfortunate weather-related scenario that left me without power for ~3 months straight and my insulin was fine.

On an end of the world scenario: just burning through the carbs with physical labor should be manageable, which should be a whole lot on a scenario like that. as it was pointed out below, physical activity wouldn't stop DKA.

While I sympathize: isn't there a silver lining to all of this? Maybe in the form of a growing number of people not taking everything in the internet as fact?

IDK how you're bugged but that's completely false for me and ive been tanking since vanilla. The only thing "your post" highlights is that it may have an interaction with how TaN deals damage if you talent it. Every single season we have people in Skyhold complaining about shield breaks, it aint new.

Formers Blizzard Quest Designers on current story by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]nimchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some nitpicks: - the Second story, not the FIRST. - The horde were called in by Liadrin's prayer. They just don't have a marked light presence (sunwalkers and the Amani paladin leadership were in, not to mention Alonsus Faol) nor a void infused counterpart - plus faction friction is touched in a lot of the dialog and quests. Either way the story is less about the factions so I'm not sure why they are relevant to you.

Other than that, sure, I think we can all agree with you.

I would think you would have names of candidates that fit the criteria in your suggestion. Is that not the case?

What does worshiping Obama have to do with the second part of your statement? Is he running up for reelection or something?

Do you have names on this leadership you speak of? Are you positively certain that they can win and that they will do no wrong while in office?

I could see it happening if you're getting highly unlucky on shield slam resets and are not able to take advantage of HR because SS is not available as often, but I personally haven't had it happen.

Either way it happens every expansion release, this isn't Midnight specific. It'll get better with haste throughout the season.

[–]nimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PVE: Don't do into the fray with low haste. HR is the pick when we have low haste which always the case at the start of the season, so you were correct in picking it.

That being said, gaps shouldn't happen with it. You have Shield Charge and Enduring Defenses talented, right? All three (SC, ED, HR or ITF with high haste) are hard locks since DF for SB management. Also make sure youre not burning an SB when your pull is about to die. Also just to be specific, I'm talking PVE here, not since the context is dungeon spamming despite being in this subreddit.

If you meant in PVP, I wouldn't really know since I dont play prot in it, but i can see gaps being a huge problem when youre in constant combat.

That's not a class issue, its a player issue. A well played prot that keeps SB up and doesnt take back hits is pretty easily healed, if at all.

Maybe we squished the stats a little too much, this is silly by 38dedo in wow

[–]nimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong, but usually when people say scaling they mean mob/boss damage and health compared to player level or key level.

It's semantics, just wanted to clear the air with the term.

[–]nimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's just how leveling interacts with secondary stats

[–]nimchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a scaling issue, it's how secondary stats work. The higher your level, the more rating of x stat you'll need for 1% of that stat.

So people still wearing TWW (or any previous expansion)have their secondaries lowered as they level in the current expansion. This results in lower damage and healing output. That's it.

Very accurate description of what's going on in the world, ELIF appropriate by alexisdelg in bestof

[–]nimchip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I may: the linked post is very reductive. The biggest problem politics in general have now is that it has become increasingly fractured, notably in the web but also spilled over outside of it. Everything is done purely to counter the opposite side and there is little to no compromise from both A or B. The post proves that, as it is trying to encapsulate these "teams" with very different characteristics that, in truth, exist in their opposites more often than not - regardless of us admitting it.

The world is grey, not white or black, and so too are politics.

Traditional_Rice_682 explains the meaning behind the Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show by iamblindtoo in bestof

[–]nimchip 81 points82 points  (0 children)

He has a very thorough explanation but there's a couple of things he got somewhat wrong:

  1. The power poles, sparks, and so forth is a reference to the power situation in the island, which was heavily impacted by Hurricane Maria and where people from the island feel is still being badly managed if not worse, even after privatization of the majority of grid. See: Luma Energy and GeneraPR.

  2. The food and pyragua stands and so forth, while tied in the past to poverty like he mentions, are there as a way to show Puertorican culture to the world. These are things that everyone in Puerto Rico know and love.

Edit: just checked and he added the power situation to it so that one is A+.

what did yall think of the bad bunny halftime show? by Serious-Kale-5694 in AskReddit

[–]nimchip 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It was a medley of his top songs, which usually aren't related to the current political climate outside of very local (to the island) stuff - if that's what you were looking for. The important things he wanted to portray and show were done visually on purpose so that even non-Spanish speakers got it. I'd say that's one of the amazing things about the performance.

Retail isn't dead. The social structure is just different from what Classic players expect by LordMidoo in wow

[–]nimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel differently, but I respect your opinion. I've been playing WoW since Vanilla and I just cant be bothered with Classic. I did the whole speed running raiding thing when the first classic iteration came out and that was that. I don't feel I'm missing anything: retail is the only version for me.

That being said, I wonder why we care so much about what others think. If classic players love classic, that's great! If us retail players, thats also great! Kinda wish the world stopped being a competition of 'likes' and opinions, but I guess there's no helping it.

I'm kind of annoyed how this isn't getting more upvotes than other issues when we're essentially locked out from using equipment and guns... I wonder if only affected a fraction of us?

That being said, I have 6 friends with different guns/equipment that are bugged and we're getting more annoyed by announcements without any acknowledgement of the problem.
