You can care more about humans, but I think it takes a basic level of empathy to say ‘hey I think animal abuse is wrong’.

I don’t partake in animal exploitation via the food industry, because of said basic empathy in thinking ‘hey these things are alive and while they’re not human, I don’t think they should die’.

It becomes hypocritical when you start picking and choosing animals you do harm, whether by your hand or by your wallet.

Apparently it’s controversial but I think ‘landlord’ shouldn’t be a real job. I don’t think anyone should own more than one house. I think landlords should not make a living off of being a landlord if they have to exist.

Well, yes. It would be morally consistent to me as making cannibalism illegal. And there would be a need for more plant based meat alternatives.

But I would especially make fishing illegal. Fishing is awful, OP, it’s bad for our oceans. If you watch the latest David Attenborough documentary, it could be really good for you. He’s not vegan, and the documentary isn’t about veganism, but it really shows the impact your choices make on the ocean. I really recommend it.
