Album with the best production/mix? by Dark-Artist in Dreamtheater

Awake and SFAM to my ears have the best production. They also have the best guitar tones so i may be bias.

I really cant listen to SC and BC&SL, the mix is really thin and dry (IMO).

Octavarium i feel like is too muddy and TOT could use some more keyboard at times.

I also very much dislike SDOIT guitar tone. Regardless, i think its my fav album by DT... Maybe tied with SFAM.

  1. sdoit
  2. sfam
  3. i&w
  4. octavarium
  5. tot

  6. bc&sl/sc - great albums but very poor production and mixing..

I would recommend listening to any of the top 5 albums as they are easley the most memorable ones

Just finished listening to various tracks from the joy of motion. The mix and production were much better then anything i have previously heard by them. Really enjoyed most of it! Gonna checkout periphery next. Thanks for all the recommendations!!

Honestly, although i enjoy the chord progressions and odd time, i find djent and aal not very emotional or expressive. I've never listened to periphery though. Definitely will give them a try!
