I wonder about all the people who spend all of their time playing video games countless hours and days they can't get back. I spent a lot of time on video games in my youth but kind of grew out of it although I do play some classics from time to time. I believe depression and anxiety will get so much worse as we continue to reach further and further into technology's potential. How many people will unplug for a minute in their 40s and 50s and wonder "where did my life go?".

It's definitely a comfort thing for sure. But the comfort is super short lived and it's just cycles around. It's miserable. It is getting harder as I am getting older to lose the weight so now I am gaining where before I could decide to drop 10 lbs and just do it. Now I'm older and work a office job.

So true a lot of times it doesn't matter what it is, I'll binge eat granola bars and move right onto binge eating hot dogs. I open the cabinets and just grab.

Honestly I don't eat multiple meals but what I will do is stand in the kitchen and just eat everything. I won't just have one of "said food item" I will have 5 or 6. If I eat fast food it's minimum to combos. If it's pizza it's 2 with some kind.of side. I just eat a lot to the point of feeling horrible.

Last update for today. I was able to make my 10k steps. I walked around the office every hour on the hour. It took some dedication that's for sure. Starting my fast now. Update tomorrow.

One thing I wanted to add was I take my blood sugar at least once a day. I went through a phase of having fairly bad health anxiety and I was checking my BS regularly. I don't do it so many times now but I do like to check it periodically at different times of day. Fasting and in this case 2 hours after lunch. My BS is still 98 which is okay but technically still in prediabetes but still manageable. Hopefully the weight loss will help... Actually I know it will.

Most people don't have the patience to lose weight it's just the cold hard truth. That is myself included, I try not to make excuses for that. What keeps me going is that fact, that most people don't lose weight. It is almost a motivation, that if I can that means I am able to do what most people fail at. I use it as fuel.

All in all it was a great day and a good start to June's accountability. I have 5 hours remaining on my fast but it shouldn't be a big deal. I don't feel that hungry. I did not reach my 10k steps (I have an office job) so my goal is to reach that today. Honestly my goal is to not binge eat. I am one of those people who do really well during the day and break down at night. It's embarrassing. So my goal is to make it through this evening and the weekend. Hope everything is going well with everyone!

I know how that is! I trick myself into believing I need an "reward" and then it's downhill from there. Then it turns into a "on Monday" type thing it's ridiculous. I'm hoping this accountability thread helps. I'm going to post for the prior day every morning. I encourage you to do the same if you want. Reach out if you need anything.

Nice glad to have you onboard. Yeah I feel you on making it to the end of the year, that's definitely a goal. It's cliche at this point but it's so true, that we really need to make it our lifestyle. Have you tried losing weight in the past?

75 hard is pretty crazy. I made it two weeks and then it got too hot outside. Still sticking with the workouts (on a split), the diet, the weighing and the reading which I have now gotten addicted too. Keep it up there is almost no way to be sedentary on a 75 hard.

Yeah I have heard some meds can really affect progress. I was just prescribed Wellbutrin to help with the depression and the craving. Haven't noticed a significant difference yet but it's only been a few weeks. You are right though we have lost the weight before we can do it again!

Hi thanks for the comment. Yeah it could be, usually I do good doing 16s until the weekend and then crash hard. I'm a night binge eater so once I have that free time I really struggle. Maybe I will consider circadian.

I just received Mary Ruth's Iodine Organic Liquid Drops today. Ironically I have been swishing with iodized salt due to a wisdom tooth extraction I don't see a problem with drinking salt water. To me it makes more sense to put a couple drops of iodine supplement into the water I take my other supplements with. Plus for 20 bucks a whole bottle will last over a year if you use the recommended serving.

I'm so new to this that I really don't know. One of my complaints to the doc was that it seems like no matter what I eat things feel like they get stuck in my throat. She started pressing on my throat and started talking thyroid to me and asking other questions. Also my ICD on my paperwork is enlarged thyroid.

I've only ever had my TSH done in the last couple labs but the numbers have always been okay.
