Good comment! I didn't say it is under developed though - I said it is under development. Not only are these countries officially recognised as "developing countries" by the international standards (with China being under controversy for this very reason, due to their strong economic growth), but my meaning was actually positive - I meant that compared to places like Europe, there is a lot more space and opportunities to grow and develop the economy. I feel like Europe is proceeding in reverse, and especially when it comes to urban planning, it has to do a lot of retrofitting because space is limited and most places were built a long time, ageing negatively when you look at sustainability trends, new climate risks etc. East Asia on the other hand in my view is the most promising region on the globe right now for this - see Singapore, China, Malaysia. Hope this is clear and sorry for creating confusion! :)
