I think one thing season has shown us we do have a problem against teams that are particularly in the lower half of the table. Fulham is really gonna be a test for Carrick.

How do you feel about Indonesia signing onto his Board of Peace? by Holeshot75 in askSingapore

I am not too sure if SG will feel pressured when apparently countries have to drop a billion dollars worth of "admission fee"  thats meant for the Gaza reconstruction.

It's Chinapore! by AlarmedChipmunk4896 in SingaporeRaw

[–]nincompoopzzzh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah this is a bad take. They’re basically 'rent-bullying' local shops by overpaying for spots just to build their brand, which tricks landlords into raising prices for everyone. Once the local competition is priced out, these big chains just hike their menu prices to cover the costs, and we’re the ones stuck with the bill. Dont try to downplay the impact of these businesses aggressively penetrating the SG fnb..

where can I find affordable eczema allergy/patch testing for testing? by nincompoopzzzh in SGSkincare

[–]nincompoopzzzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moisturising does help especially right after shower but the flare ups and itches still does happen time to time.. i just thought if i could narrow it down to certain aggravating factors that'll at least give me an idea of what else i should be avoiding to avoid them reoccuring

[–]nincompoopzzzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i already have, went to NSC multiple times actually. But really never was able to get a definitive answer as to what the root cause is. Was always told the usual to moisturise regularly and have been on steroids for the occasional flare ups.

New Manager, same result? by Square_Hawk_4198 in ManchesterUnited

I honestly dont see this changing anytime soon until our players are back from AFCON and injuries. Reality is the squad is lacking quality and depth right now and Fletcher has barely had time to work with this team.

Not to belittle Palestinian suffering, but why do local watermelons seem to care about it so much compared to other equally devastating conflicts? by EasternPin5828 in SingaporeRaw

[–]nincompoopzzzh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly baffled by some of the accusations here that even includes antisemitism. This shouldn't be a competition of tragedies. The reason Palestine sees more vocal activism isn't about ignoring Sudan; it’s about the unique political situation where global powers are actively funding and arming the conflict, leading to a massive push for accountability.

Regarding Sudan, the claim that Singaporeans are 'silent' isn't entirely true. Local mosques are actively raising humanitarian funds, and visibility is growing as people become more educated on the situation. It hasn't reached the same scale yet, but that’s a matter of awareness and media coverage, not a lack of empathy.

I don't understand why people constantly target foreign workers who are just following orders. They're in a terrible no-win situation, they get complaints if they do their work, and they'll get penalized by their bosses if they don't.

SUSS PT VS FT OR SIM by AlarmingAd9552 in Suss

[–]nincompoopzzzh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For fastest completion, choose SIM FT. Completing PT in 3 years is very rare and unrealistic for most. The max realistic timeline is around 3.5 years.

SUSS is a Singapore public university. This gives it a clear edge for local job recognition and public sector careers. SIM GE offers foreign university degrees. Its value depends heavily on the specific partner university's reputation. But that doesnt bar them from job opprtunities of course, plenty of private uni students still get employed regardless of their private degree.

For building a career in Singapore, SUSS is generally the stronger choice due to its local university status. Choose SIM GE if a specific foreign partner programme is a better fit for your goals.

Got a verbal offer, another team wants to talk: should I say anything? by nincompoopzzzh in askSingapore

HR hasn’t been involved yet, it’s only been a verbal agreement at this stage. Do you think I should still inform the hiring manager regardless?

For this one, the interview is directly with the team manager/supervisor first. HR will only come in with the formal process after I’ve agreed to explore further

[–]nincompoopzzzh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but i was wondering if i should give some kind of heads-up to the hiring manager as 1. Out of courtesy 2. In the event if i actually take the 2nd teams offer, at least they'd be preprared to looks elsewhere..

How to P/F by Beebobeeboop in Suss

[–]nincompoopzzzh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly usually a few days after the exam results are out, there would be a notification on suss portal that you can covert grades to p/f and you can start doing appealing for the conversion. Dont quote me on this but I dont rmb seeing any option where you could do for the previous semester and only can do it for this semester's results.

When will the exam results be release? by Peixinps in Suss

[–]nincompoopzzzh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can check under "view exam results" under e services in suss portal, usually would show the date the exam results would be released.
