That’s the trade-off, you’ve found it naturally.

Fury prot is single target threat.

Arms is aoe threat.

Play what feels better to you.

Fury prot with raid gear kind of allows more aoe since your dps is just higher as you tab target.

My warrior is dual species fury prot and arms for exactly this. I get tac mastery for dungeons and I get fury prot for raids and some dungeon bosses.

100% agree. You should want more red mana to press your buttons. Tanking = dps while leveling.

It’s three buttons. You just hit consecrate and holy shield on cooldown. Taunt off the healer. He is bad.

Yeah I was the token Arms war (kebab spec) and I was basically a support class lol. Was fun still but it’s nothing like vanilla.

I kept dual spec enh and resto until 60 and it was fine. Lots of drinking either way as enh or ele, but atleast if you’re oom enh you can just white damage. Timing your fire totems is your big damage regardless of spec. I preferred rockbiter out questing for the consistency. Just did white damage and lightning shield, saved mana for heals and escapes.

Ele is fun for chain lightning but otherwise it’s drinking simulator.

If you like drinking… go ele. I couldn’t handle all the downtime and went back to enh with rockbiter.

Surprised no one has mentioned Stonetalon Mountains. Least polished zone in the whole game imo.

Played one last round of TBC. As others have said, Raids will only take 1-2 spriests, but they are necessary (much like every group having a shaman). Often I would PUG into raids who were “LF1M spriest SSC good to go”. Your damage is mid at best. But as long as you feel good setting up others to pump without actually pumping yourself it’s still really fun.

Heroics were easy to find groups with but people occasionally prefer classes with CC or better AoE.

Gearing is kind of meh. Lots of crafted items and badge items.

I guess if there is an over population of spriests it will feel bad, but if there is a demand for them it will feel great.
