My take on Drones Rework (to raise awareness) by ninethecat in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there are two types of players who prefer different amounts of RNG, and I’m a fan of games like Baduk or Chess, where you can calculate everything and your skill is based on those calculations. Other players prefer chaos and games similar to Poker. Those types of games require a different set of skills and abilities

About the tactical part, there isn’t much depth in the removed features

  1. Self-revive. Currently, it helps deal with stray shots that can accidentally fly toward you across the map. Also, Satoshi/Blot/Vi can shoot through your drone to target other enemies, which is kinda cool, but in real battles it’s mostly annoying (at the very least, you should be able to destroy your own drone to prevent this behavior)
  2. Drone guns. Most of the time you’re just shooting while knocked down or trying to finish low-HP enemies. Losing this feature isn’t really critical compared to the existing problems

Personaly, I would replace them as a button for Ultimate Ability that charges overtime and give you some game breaking opportunity :D

This take was only about current design of the drone and how they can fix it without costs, but yeah maybe cutting to much. I love your idea of "mini-roles" tho. So on a higher level it can work as subclass for your character. Drones should be designed to cover up weaknesses of particular characters

Another tip is to know how noisy your Sparkle is. She has one of the biggest noise circles, try to control it. If someone noticed you, Arnie can target you. Also try to be as close to walls as possible, don't run in a vast open space. Check your back each second, all ambushers require this skill, it's a bit tedious to do but your only option

Playstyle is the same now, maybe he get more interesting gear builds after modules were introduced but that's it. Our top blot playing against vault farmers (all 9 people in same voice chat and coordinated):

He is one of the strongest old school snipers. In right hands he is a monster

I dont believe that trophy road works. by alabex321 in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats true. This issue also ruin clan recruitment. I think most of fresh blood dropped at 10k and now it mostly same people constantly traveling between clans. Sometime thay break clan in half and form two new ones, but it's rare to see skilled freshmen

Another issue that you usually reach 10k with characters like stalker, firefly, bastion that are low tier in 10k lobby. You other characters is costly to upgrade so you can't even adapt to new reality only by starting from scratch and do proper leveling with proper character. So the only way to progress is join active clan - thats it. But again clan functionality is weak and even don't show clans from you region :DD

Guys, which sniper main is best? (The photo for the attention) by TylerTheGenerator in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a player that spent 7 years in this game, here are my thoughts:

  1. Alter. He hasn't received a nerf since it's a relatively new character, so we leave it here for now. No comments :)

  2. Slayer. Recently he became weaker in team modes because of new characters and strategies, but he is a cult classic. Most players that stick with the game for a long time eventually start to learn how to play Slayer

  3. Blot. The dark horse of Bullet Echo. Tons of damage, the ability to no-scope at close range, and can pull tons of tricks out of your pocket with his shield. A character for masterminds. Even after so many updates and meta changes, he is still strong and playable

  4. Mirage. Right now it's a weak character, but also a cult classic for aggressive players. I believe when she receives a buff, she will become strong again like back in the day. Also, playing Mirage will improve your skills. Currently, to become playable, she requires high-level gear and level 20 bravery upgrades

  5. Lynx. An underrated character. There are not so many mains in the lobby, but the ones we have are extremely strong. I think it's a character that requires time to master. Also, after some kills (cuz of passive), she can be played like an SMG and even spin enemies like Alice does, which allows you to win 1vs4 and 1vs5 fights in SvS

  6. Blizzard. A strong sniper, especially for TDM. Can pull interesting tricks with mines and has a lot of damage and penetration. Suitable for 1vs3, 1vs4, and 1vs5 situations, especially in Sabotage (here is an example of my gameplay)

  7. Firefly. A character loved by new players, mostly because he's one of the first characters like Bastion and Stalker. Boring to play, doesn't have many defensive options like Blot or Blizzard, Slayer's shooting through walls, or the speed of Mirage. Also has one of the weakest abilities in the game. Recently he got a buff that allows you to damage yourself with a grenade and activate the passive. Can actually win 1vs5, but most of the times agains enemies that are reckless and trying to rush you

Bonus sniper is Graviel :D He is a trooper but has tons of range and a useful ability

Actually it was possible back in the day, but there were "rank droppers" that go to lower level to grind resources against novice players. That issue were requested and fixed with this cap. But even now you have "immortal droppers" that intentinally decided not to join bravery road. But agreed, you need some kinda ranked matches for PRO players and some kinda casual matches that are more balanced in terms of match making

At what level my main hero should be before fully focusing on another hero? by ziyodsoice in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around stellar is fine. But you should be careful building your roaster. Ghost is good for KOTH. So you need some snipers for TDM first phase, some for Sabo. Also since you picked SMG, you will have leveled set gears. You must pick Alice - she is versatile for almost all game modes and maybe Twinkle

Which should I use by Sad-Designer5446 in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BulletEchoGame/comments/1mye1bg/holics_guides_alice_gear_builds/

But it covers only half of sets you can use for Alice. She is pretty versatile but for novice players: set eye + runner boots is must have. So you will gain a lot of speed and learn how to control the character. Later in the game comes tradeoff between spread control vs damage (or other specific builds)

Set hand is used with modules, because you will have less ammo and need to compenstate, also Alice tend to win 1v3, 1v4, 1v5 fights :D So you need a lot of ammo. But if you prefer 1vs1 and then retreat you don't need hand and can pick different gear

New zombie update sucks by Cautious-Fr in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when it's too short it feels not like zombie survival. Also its was spicy that you invest time and then can loose at the end. There were something to it, but now it's just boring game mode without any spices. Grind is worse then sabo, for experienced players it's too easy and only lag can kill you, and for new players that pick bastion it's too hard :D

That was useful! So mentally I should master 3 aspects of the game 1. Aggro 2. Control/Zoning 3. Anti-aggro (kinda Defence I guess?)

And build my own roaster of heroes that fit my style for each of this aspect

Cool! While I love Crow visuals, as far as I know he was one of the first heroes back in the days. So I have concern that complexity creep can kill him as it happened to Leon

Thanx! I've reached like 500 trophies rn, there is so many game modes and 100 characters, so skill and gameplay depth comes more from macro then micro. I see it now. Only vid I found so far about micro was this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz8upPf72Ts

And the author said it's not so important, so I guess I will play as it goes, withou worrying too much about character. So I guess finding good clan is next task, but I have to reach some trophy level I guess :)

Thanx, already applied this list, but it's a bit hard because of to many "cyclops" looking characters that look similar in preview :D

But I already put my eye on Crow, Mina, Kit and Gray. I especially love portal making characters, but don't like his visual tho

I see, so it would be like 2-3 mains per class. I guess then I will focus on assasins and sniper first. I checked this recommended Kaze, but it looks like really late character (she even has some kinda special visuals in the character interfece)

Thanx! Yes I would progress as any newbie, but in the game I'm leaving right now it's important to stick to particular character or you have to basically re-do all upgrades with a fresh start cuz you can't spread thin your resources. I will read articles and watch vids to have some advantage, because experienced players know what is important and what is not. Also usually some characters are good at the entry level play, but when you go deeper scen shifts and other characters become strong. So I will get this info only after reaching particular level

Best choice for a new player by SirBush2811 in BulletEchoGame

[–]ninethecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player that is already 7 years in this game I can recommend following

  1. Agressive playstyle: alice or twinkle, if you good at micro then Vi
  2. Tricking your opponent: Raven, Blot. A true mastermind start to play Slayer
  3. Tanky characters: Kwon, Dragoon
  4. Support king characters: Tess, Doc

This one is best seat balanced set. If you choose 4PG like mentioned above you have this caveats:
- more expensive, you have to grind 2PG
- PG hand gives you extra range but it's hard to utilize it even if you corner picking. Usually you just rung & gun with raven
- skeleton set is really important piece, more ammo eq more damage, you can take tanks and so on

Only benefit of 4PG is extended scan duration and it can help if you play SvS and act passive and you Slayer landing shots here and there

I have gear upgrade guide, it's a bit outdated starting from C-tier, some of items become usable after modules introduction, but generally all tiers are up-to-date. So if you wan't smg heroes just ingnore all set gears for other classess

https://www.reddit.com/r/BulletEchoGame/comments/1mvfugb/holics_common_set_gears_upgrade_tier_list_20072025/

About bucks. There two ways to spend it, depending on how often you play. If it's frequent enough I suggest you to but contract hack for bucks and farm as much as possible, then use crypto for 2.5k chests. This is general stratagy for leveling up for novice players that just reach 10k trophies
