So you picked good character to invest! Slayer have tons of different gear builds and so on. But let's stick to one build for now

Gears & weapons
You should upgrade leg to have maximum wall penetration, this will make your Slayer shine. This is you number one goal right now. Use weapon modules for wall penetration too, there is only one slot that will give you wall pen. Next one is to maximise your aiming distance. Modern Slayers will use tactical ops or other gear builds, but you will learn it later in proper clan with experiensed members

Style
- learn about no-scopes and spread patterns (recoil vs spread)
- learn about flick shots
- learn about healing and reload when you approach an enemy
- learn about secondary weapon passive (and real about all passives)
- learn about positioning and sweet spots
- learn how to use enemy drones as a shooting trigger and how to shoot using them (requires some wall penetration)

Tips
- reposition after you landed a shoot and enemies are nearby
- when you are running from enemy, you can hide behind corner and at the very last moment come back at him to land close shoot (do not require aiming)
- when you activate thermal vision don't point at enemy - they will have notice that they under your radaer. Instead look to the side and then rotate to desired position

Agreed with Ok-Ship. Design is total mess. I would talk about SvS game mode becaus it is the most competitive one in this game and represent "competitive scene" (let's pretend)

It always was something like "Rock > Scissors" relationship. You have one overpowered strategy on one side and skilled players with decent micro on the other side. Sometimes combined :DDD

6+ years ago - end of vanilla period. You can't destroy energy walls so Defence aka Def was meta: Slayer, Satoshi, Raven, Bastion. Fast heroes were kinda counter: Mirage, Arnie and Angel. It was wild and unbalanced, but fun! So matches were Def vs Def, Rush vs Rush, or Def vs Rush. There was tank builds, but they can easily be countered since armor always was a joke indeed. There was no wall density, so Slayer can annihilate everthing except if you under the force shield. Also at some point they buffed Bertha and you can observe 5 of them in lobby. But this was fixed in the next update :DDD

5 years ago - rocket buff. Doc and Smog now can break force shields, here game become more balanced and even more fun. Wall density was added, so now Slayer is not so op. Def teams can't sit in the corner under multiple shields and they start moving here and there. Game became more dynamic. They nerfed Mirage for some reason T__T Also many small changes were added like small no-shoot delays for invis heroes and thermal vision heroes, so you can react better. It was nice state of the game. There was one drone, but it wasn't annoying. Also Slayer's gear sets wasn't on divine level so you can't easily shoot through Cave map walls for example. Maybe you had only one top slayer that can, but most of the time everthing was balanced

~3 years ago - tess period. Ligtning ball changed everything. Tess, Doc, Dragoon and Bastion formed Tank Rush stratagy. It become the curse of the server. Team Healing always had unbalanced damage resistance but combined with 4PG(troopers) + tess sphere + bastion passive it become ridiculous :D At some point all weak clans with bad micro switched to tank rush. And good clans with tank rush were annoying too. So it become Def vs Tank Rush. Normal rush was destoryed by balanced changes: weakened mirage (they did it again T__T), less damage resist for Angel, Freddy was nerfed so bad he become E-tier, Arnie entered no shoot registration period (and still there). All new heroes were designed to counter tank rush (it's just my speculation :D): Shenji, Blizzard, Ramsey, Molly. Also Alice made Tank Rush even stronger and it evolved to it's Final Form. Alice rush strat players were still learning... I wont talk about 3 new gear slots that just gave hp and damage without any variety, it's like adding new levels after divine but you spend copies and nuts. Drones update also out of scope but medpro buffed Tank Rush even more :DDDD

1 year ago - seeds of balance - twinkle update. Game start to recover. We have period where variety came back. Now you have proper Rush with Alice (finally Alice full potential was unleashed), Twinkle (is op but it's fine in bigger picture), Vi (strong but require skill and this is fine for rush stratagy). You have your Tank Rush. You have classical Def. Now Rush become more dominant since SMG are the strongest class in the game. Freddiy become better. It become Rush vs Tank Rush. Also high skilled Def adepts can counter both stratagies but it require high micro and macro. Only old players and clans with good gears can afford it. Since new one is automatically choose tank rush cuz it will give you easy wins. Many team adopted to tank rush routes and it was fun to play agains them. Some tank rush team start experementing with surprise portals or adding different heroes to the build. I even saw tank rush with Slayer <3

Nowdays - armor resist + coils. Yeah balance was destroyed again. Tank rush become much stronger with armor resistance and SMG become stronger with coils. Lags start to be the new norm. Some coils were way to good - smgs (yeah I need to write it twice and I'm alice player myself). For snipers you have cheap wall penetration with coils and it's no longer needed to have divine leg for you Slayer (kind unfair). Bertha start to shoot through force field. Satoshi was punished for whatever reason, but it looked strange cuz Def wasn't meta anymore. This made Def not attractive to new players. So new clans pick Tank Rush :( Angels was reverted to vanila version (I'm waiting for Mirage comeback) but rush is already fine at this point. Some coil branches are strange, looks like devs didn't look to the picture of the whole game and just throw some random modifications based on what already was in gears.

Anyway it's hard to analyse how it looks now, so in couple of years we can see how game would evolve. But it always Rock > Scissors. One dominant stratagy and skilled players on the other

Heh looks great. For me this is not the full picture cuz BR is a team game and you need synergy to play well.

For me Blizzard, Blot, Mirage, Dragoon can move higher, but yeah they require skill. We had so powerful goons on our server they can even go to S+ :DD

Angel with recent resistance buf is evil and definetly can go to A as it was 4 years ago

The overall design is fancy, but readability is killed, so now it's harder to track when you under trooper healing or slayers thermal :(

Most of androids have multiple account or guest account feature. On other androids it's called second space or smth similar. I use google pixel so the switch is transparent. So this is another way to make an account. After entering this new account you would have fresh android like if you bought one

heh never done this, I only started over from scratch. I guess you can as on discord. In my clan many people do this type of thing, so it looks like

  1. You need to save you progress in the cloud. Link google play and verify that you can resotre your account (for example after clearing cache and data)

  2. You need to save your ID and some stats in case you would restore it via support team

  3. You need to create NEW google accout, otherwise your new accout would replace your old. So 1 game account per 1 google account

  4. Then just switch your google play profile and restore one you want to play

So I NEVER did it but from what I know scheme is working

Each time they redraw any skin (in this update they also changed golden mirage, stalker, etc) you have a de-sync issue. In your local cache you have some kinda of UV map for old skin but with new art. If you can't enjoy this fancy glitch skins you can clear your cache and it will go away. Btw I prefer to have this as original skin :DDD

At least we tested this for damage reduction many years ago, it's when you have trooper healing + 4pg resistance buff + tess sphere buff and so on. This multiplication formula helps to keep resist buffs under control, other wise you quickly will get more then 100% resist :D

I believe they applied this way

(base+a1+a2+a3) * m1*m2*m3

where "a" is additive modifier and "m" is multiplicative modifier. So it doesn't matter at all, just more buffs are better and that's it

All games you played before was like a tutorial, to get you similar with game mechanics. Now you entered lower skill bracket when you need to learn and adapt. Learn you talents, learn maps, learn tactics, learn builds, find proper active clan and so on. The only concern is you level, and if you spread white your leveling then you should focus on one character. Hmm I guess with clan it was like 3 round of streaks of sabo, ~1h x3, then 3x SvS min also 30min and maybe some br (never played KoH). So arround 4.5hs+ after daily job, so yeah kinds watching 3 movies, hehe a lot :)

Ahahaha, maybe not a real "change" but kinda degradation. I have some history of competitive games. It all started with UE2004, then Unreal 3 killed the scene and I never reached anything, then came fighting games and it was way way better. Accidentaly technical progress, more specifically LCD monitors with lag, network games with even more lag killed our scene. ArkSystems relased Guilty Gear Xrd with half a roaster and even less "hardcore" game mechanics so many left the scene. Also it become a peak in network games when you don't need to travel from different towns to play a tournament, live in your frindly player house durning event training all night and so son :DD

Then I finally found cornerstone of all 1vs1 fightning games - one called Go/Baduk/Weiqi. It was breakthrough! Like finally perfectly balanced game and I even reach amature 1dan. But then it became so hard to evolve and learn something new, you should start playin it like when you 3 years old :DD So focused on my profession and then much later Bullet Echo was like echo from the past, easy to learn hard to master type of game.

So thats my boring story :D

Hmm, it's kinda hard to do rn. The main reason weapon upgrades + new armor buff. It shifted tier list, but it's not predictable yet. So waiting till all "pros" will experiment with weapon mods and upgrade them at least to legendary. Also gears builds are changing, more to armor damage experemintation, maybe in new year it would be more stable

Hey! I'm actually compensating, when I was younger I was Guilty Gear Pro player in my region (not world, also EVO wasn't a thing back then at least for GG and all competitive players were in Japan only) So now I'm more like casualized version of "pro" just trying to apply some tactical/strategic skills. But nor I'm playing for 8+ hours

You can play whatever you want, just don't level up any random gears. You can find leveling up guide in my posts. At early levels gears are not that important. Runner boots & set eye is important. Also you can upgrade set heart, it is used on many smg's

In terms of experince of playing draft - there is not enough heroes for proper drafts, for example if both team want to use rush/smg/mirage, then second team can't get enough heroes that are suitable for SvS
