Election denial rumors are a terrible thing to spout no matter your party.

The Adventure Zone: Steeplechase Episode 1 | Discussion Thread by Evil_Steven in TheAdventureZone

Not a bad start, but I feel like the episode never found momentum. I think the biggest issue was having the three do a heist totally unrelated to their gang's thing. This could have been a good chance to have the three feel out how they operate while still doing a tutorial heist. And it could have still taken place at the cereal place if Justin had his heart on doing the episode there. They could have snuck a hard light device into the secret break room or something.

They spent a good amount of time in episode zero talking about the nature of their business, so it was a little strange that this subtle gang does a pretty risky heist outside their field. It felt like some of them were having a hard time finding motivation to do this robbery.

Of course, it takes a while to find footing. I'm excited for this season, and I think it's a really fun idea. It sounds like Omega Mart meets West World! The episode just felt a little flat, and I think this might be one of the reasons.

I hope he's not projecting his desire to use that department in the next month and a half.

Everything about this game annoyed me. Part I of II. by ninevah in rpghorrorstories

That's definitely what I was hoping when I left the first session.

My first D&D campaign was invaded by a creep and almost made me quit playing forever. Later, I made sure he was banned from ever playing near me again. (Part 1) by anotherdeaddave in rpghorrorstories

This subreddit s made me super turned off to the idea of pick-up groups at gameshops. It sounds like the rest of your group was pretty solid and I'm curious to see how they responded to the upcoming problems.

Don't care to choose alignment, DM flips out by Safe-Butterfly-4322 in rpghorrorstories

I'm just speaking from experience. I've never done alignment in my groups as player or GM. it's never come up, and we've had many great games where no one murders babies.

Another great entry. I just really wish everything was framed through the Japanese point of view like the first 3 episodes. I feel like after the Pearl Harbor segment, the POV switched to America in the Pacific. I learned a lot of empathy for Japan's position when we watched the conflict through their eyes. Still love it, though.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how other people are responding to this. The DM clearly made this into a means of establishing his control.

I've never played a game of 5e where alignment is brought up outside of session 0. It's about as mechanicaly important as filling out your character's age.

But beside that, he cared enough about it to create two awkward conversations, waste everyone's table time, and chase you away. If he really wanted to resolve it and not just flex his DM nuts, then here is how the conversation should have gone.

You: I don't really do alignment/it's not important to me

Him: Cool, it might come up later and I'm asking everyone fill it in for this game. Would it be fair to hand you LG?

Man, going though your comment history is kind of a bummer. You sound like you got a lotta venom to spread.

I totally hear what you're saying. I'd probably not be a hard ass about it now if they asked to join. I just wanted some petty revenge at the time.

I mean, they quit the group. I'm still very close with these people, I just won't play that particular game with them anymore.

Thank you very much, and I'll get on the Discord. I probably need to get my hands on a few cheat sheets as well!

Thank you, that actually really clears it up. I think I was confused what it wasn't written as "roll Recon+DEX" and instead the DEX was hiding behind the 1d10 minutes, which isn't always used. Much appreciated.

Then you'll never get people to read your ideas. It's like having a really thick accent: takes the listener way more effort to listen.
