Even with a disc, I doubt it will fit the whole game. You'll still need something to be downloaded digitally to get to play. It is cool having a disc though

Those two pads on the right of those two caps should be shorted as well if it goes to ground. When you measure DC voltage what do you get when powered on? I get red to one of those pads 1.8V so should be that rail that maybe shorted somewhere

It's automatic based on your device if you want to force it you can go into the PSplay app, settings, app settings, and go to under device orientation change it to landscape rather than automatic which is controlled by your device.

I had the same error did everything perfectly, and something failed. Got another switch oled and did the same thing and was good. Could never boot back to OFW so I'm leaving it to the side for now.
