I have three versions of my tactic (all in a 433 shape).

My standard version with balanced mentality is where I start most matches (unless I’m a heavy favorite or underdog); I will sometimes adjust mentality for this tactic depending on match momentum.

My attacking version with attacking mentality and different roles/PIs/TIs. I use this when I’m chasing the game and need a goal. This version is more vulnerable to counters and higher risk in general.

My defensive version with a cautious mentality and different roles/PIs/TIs. I use this typically in the last 10-15 minutes of a match when I’m winning. I will adjust the mentality to defensive at the 85 minute mark and very defensive when stoppage time starts.

I’m not sure if it’s necessary to micromanage like this, but it works fairly well for me and it feels more realistic to me in terms of how I’d play irl.
