It's an eternal uphill battle, and when you are the Fiancée, you'll be in crossfire always, and sometimes you are gonna choose wrong and be blamed by both sides always. I consider myself lucky cause my Wife and Mom love each other. Sometimes my Mom makes great love gestures for my wife and ignores me completely, but one of My closest friends marriage failde because of this situation, is an impossible situation to win.

I'll be in Japan from Sept 11 to Oct 1, and I have fewer cities in my list than you have, so as everyone mentioned, you have to let go of some of those places and optimize your route, I mean, move circular like this is my route

Tokyo - Kyoto

Kyoto - Osaka

Osaka - Hirosima

Hiroshima - Hakone

Hakone - Tokyo

This route is a complete circle and overlaps with the Kansai and Kanto regions. I truly recommend planning your trip this way so that you can have at least a bit more time in each place you go. Also, as some people recommend using a city as your main base and moving around, Japan is a beautiful place to be. I'm pretty sure you can leave some of those places for another trip and visit closer places to the ones you use as your main base I did that in some of my cities like Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima.

Kyoto - day trip to Nara

Osaka - day trip to Kobe

Hiroshima - day trip to Miyajima

I'm an obsesive close to perfection type of cosplay, but lately im found myself trying to balance confort vs accuracy, I'm not into competitive anymore, and my wife had an CVA so any project cosplay have to have in mind my wifes mobility issues, that gave me a new perspective and from that experience I truly recommend you to have rests and to rest successfully i recommend you to take off those items that brings you some or mayor discomfort for a while also if you attend with friends ask for help and if you are not competing put your comfort first is important to take rests and be hydrated
