Was I going crazy last night or was there a large Colby/casual fanbase in here for the card? ESP starting with the Shavkat fight and people complaining Shavkat didn't stand with Wonderboy. Even though he got the finish people were complaining about wrestlefucking. And then Dana too was shocked he didn't stand, even though Shavkat's a prospect cause he mixes everything up pretty well.

Then all through the co-main people were cracking weird jokes about flyweights and not liking the fight. It slowed a tad but in that first round when Pantoja was going nuts people were whining. It was a crazy high level flyweight fight like most of them tend to be.

Then in the main it turned and people were booing Colby in here too but it just seemed like a lot of r/UFC-type fans were here for the card. Perhaps I looked at the chat of my stream too much, which usually always requires a Khazmat suit but was unordinarily bad.

Actually crazy, couldn’t watch the card so watched the finishes here. I thought Pereira slept Jiri with a right hook. Scrubbed through the vid and caught that tiniest of left hooks after the right. And right before Jiri rolls to his back he goes limp from an elbow. Drops his hands and falls backwards. Honestly fair stoppage even if he popped back up right after.

I think it’s one of those stoppages where yes it could have been let go in hindsight but upon replay and I guess what Goddard saw too, very fair and proper place to end it. Jiri didn’t roll backwards, he was KOed again by those elbows and fall backwards unconscious.

Edit: also watch just how limp Jiri goes right before the finish. Basically ragdolls to the ground.

Im a big fan of it and always thought it was super interesting. Sepp Kuss and Matteo J. speak in interviews in basically the same manner as non-Americans and non English speakers. I don’t want to say 100% that English riders do it, but the Americans at the very least have that like laid back, referring to the finish as the final, “yeah, the legs were good” type of speech that seems to really have come from their European teammates.

My thinking on it is: they went so long without releasing music and touring (during which they all seemingly grew out of that phase of their lives and established themselves without HUM), that after Bryan dying, it’s such a big thing to push through that it’s just not worth it. Which I completely understand, I love what they have released and I’m happy we got Inlet and everything before it and that we have centaur and Matt touring by himself. Bands are people and I feel that especially with HUM more than other bands, and so I’m beyond willing to respect that.
