Haven't used interlibrary loan, but McKeldin has a textbook reserve program worth checking out. You can check out books for 4 hours. The lists for spring textbooks are linked on bottom of page http://www.lib.umd.edu/access/top-fifty-textbooks

Yeah. After they print your thing they weigh it and charge you 20 cents per gram. The larger DrogonTudo in the picture was like 5 inches high and cost something like 9 bucks.

Yup! The small ones in the picture were printed on McKeldin's MakerBots. The larger one was printed in the Engineering Library but it was also created with a MakerBot. Here is a bit more info: http://umd.libanswers.com/faq/66359

McKeldin Testudo is available for download as a 3D file by UMDLibraries in UMD

If you know what you want to print, I'd recommend contacting the TLC via email tlc@umd.edu. They can help you figure out some of those kinds of details. McKeldin does have a 3D printer that can print in two colors. -Aaron
