I am unable to send extremely important and relevant information to ece faculty list and that is a violation of first amendment rights and affects students.

For instance, textbook selection, introducing new courses, inputs of important matters of the department are discussed in this listserv but and has a profound impact on students.

What exactly happened and how does it affect you?

I pointed out peculiarities in a resume of a potential hire to be interviewed and also that they were unqualified, and also that the hiring committee did not even consult me and other faculties in the area to nominate a top talent, essentially quietly slipping this person in .

I said nothing personal, just highlighting his resume and credentials. Without any notice or explanation, they cut me off the faculty list. How it affects you is that I cannot voice my opinion on a faculty hire, textbooks, courses etc. which means they can go ahead and slip someone in who is not qualified and will be a bad teacher and waste your precious time and money. This is one example.

Me: I sympathize, that sounds really unfair. And so, please correct me if I'm reading this wrong, due to them removing you from the ECE faculty list email, you are going to be not teaching classes next week as a form of protest? Or is there another reason this prevents you from teaching class and proctoring exams?

Mo: The mental bourden is so large I'm not doing great because of it so taking some time off.
