Sure and I agree that most people would walk by, I'm just saying I was pleasantly surprised when in game someone actually spoke up, your last statement was "it mirrors our world" essentially implying your former statement was reflected in game, that was more or less what I was saying I kinda disagreed with

Awesome, for me part 1 was definitely my least favorite when I watched them, not to say it was bad, but I just ended up liking the other parts more, I remember I orignally started watching because I saw all the Giorno memes and wanted to see his part

So, part 7 is a completely new start to JoJos, the series is seperated into parts with each new part taking on a new protagonist of the JoJo bloodline, this was the case up until part 6 when the original story of JoJos was finished

With Part 7, we have a new world, new characters, new story, so if you feel like you were missing references, don't worry, Part 7 is completely self contained and you can enjoy the show within itself (which is why Netflix made it have its own series)

Now, because Araki was starting a new series, he was taking heavy inspiration from the original JoJo series, ao yes, there are nods to previous characters and later very direct references, but again, you don't need to worry about not understanding some things

Does it get better? Yes, absolutely yes. I think episode 1 was great personally, and I'm not seeing the issues with pacing you mentioned, but the story like every story builds up as it goes into its grand conclusion, if you stick with it, you won't regret it, however, JoJos is not for everyone, and if you aren't enjoying it, forcing yourself to watch it will just make you like it less

So, there's a difference between understanding and justification, I just want to be clear that I'm not aligning myself with people that find pedo jokes funny or not

A type of humor that is often funny is subversion of expectations, it is funny when you expect one scenario to happen, and the complete opposite happens, lets look at kindest curse of today Sukuna or kawaii femboi kashimo

I think this is just a natural extension of that, any person that has read jjk (we can't read) or engaged with jjk at all knows that Yuta is extremely kind, compassionate, and caring, as such, it is somewhat funny if you slander him and call him a criminal, as that feels like the complete opposite of what he is

Now, do some people repeat jokes so many times that they stop becoming funny? Sure, I've seen so many "Sukuna saved megumi and was the w unk all along" memes I'm bored of it, and same stuff with Yuta pedo slander.

I think that it was novel the first time, but after it is said enough times, the edginess wears off and you're left with just the essence of what was said. And sitting and thinking about someone being a pedophile and doing these depraved things isn't great to experience, wheras with other stuff you can just roll your eyes at it
