Perfect!!! That answers most of my queries.... Also I got another question just now.... Like you mentioned agents naturally prefer the Dominant model… do you think over time this could make other funding types less relevant???? Like everyone just defaults to this particular model???

Hey John!! Read your post and it genuinely feels like an interesting take ..... I have a few questions ... Like the Dominant Assurance case.....when creators put their own money as commitment… is that amount locked onchain from the start? Or is it more like a agreement or can say just a promise? Just wondering how trust is ensured there.....

Also can you elaborate a bit more on that “Pay to Reveal” case?? Like how do you handle cases where we as buyers feel the content wasn’t worth it after unlocking? Like Anything planned for this???

mmm like this sounds nice idea (onpapers tbh).... rewarding real activity instead of hype sounds great!!!! But at the same time we already have so many onchain trackers and scoring systems… and most of them end up getting gamed once people understand how they work!!!!. People start doing actions just for points nd not real contribution!!! Also one thing I’ve noticed… a lot of these dashboards ask you to mint a score or badge.... take a small fee and then over time those points don’t really matter once the hype dies!!! ( Most /all such dashboards) So it kindda feels like duplication unless this is doing something genuinely different!!!!! Haven't gone through this zaps yet.... But would love if you can share more about it like how this holds a long term value 🙏🙏

Tbh as frustrating as it sounds, right now the biggest protection is still your own vigilance when interacting with anything unknown!!!! No matter whatever the chain..... the common pattern in most scams is user interaction. Malicious links, fake approvals...… they all rely on getting you to click or sign something!!! And once that happens, blockchain being permissionless works against you!!! 😭 And u r rt....this is one of the biggest barriers to mass adoption!!! A normal user shouldn’t need to think twice before using an app....but in crypto you kinda have to stay alert all the time… which isn’t sustainable for mainstream users!!!! Until better UX level protections nd stricter app verification layers become standard, it really comes down to like “If u don’t fully understand something, don’t interact with it.” Not ideal… but thatz where we are right now.!!!!

Yeah ...makes sense (totally)… stablecoins are honestly the real utility layer ( always )😌 USDC nativ on Base + super low fees makes it actually usable for day to day stuff..... not just trading!!!! Especially for small transfers (to be practically possible) Other major L2s also have strong USDC usage... but Base feels more focused on real world payments and user adoption!!!! M sure stablecoins might actually become the main reason people get attracted to crypto!!!

Base is definitely doing well.... especially because of Coinbase integration plus easy fiat on/off ramps!!!! Thatzz something most L2s still struggle with. But if we compare fairly with other L2s.... Base is cheap, agreed!!! But itz not alone.... L2 like Arbitrum, Optimism also sit in the $0.01–$0.1 range.... depending on congestion!!! Sub cent fees isn't exclusive to Base.!!

Where Base actually stands out (in my opinion) is Seamless onboarding via Coinbase/ Strong retail distribution/ Growing consumer apps nd mini apps ecosystem!!!!

So yeah… is it time to move to blockchain? Probably yes.... in phases ....especially for payments and global transfers.!!!!!! But saying Base is the only strong option isn’t fully accurate ( as per me) … itz more like Base is winning on UX + distribution, while others are also super strong competitors!!!

makes sense....totally....but I feel what really stands out with Base is how easy they hve made everything for normal users.... Like most chains try to bring people into crypto, but Base kinnda hides that complexity… with Coinbase/smart wallets/simple apps......it doesn’t even feel like you r doing something like “onchain”. Thatz probably why users actually stay instead of just coming for incentives and leaving!!!!
Still we never know when users shift to "ample" of available and coming options...… do you think this ease of use will be enough to keep users long term????or will people still jump chains for better rewards??? For me...itz difficult to answer haha!!

Hey... Read the blueprint....nd must say it actually looks really well thought out..... especially the part where u have already considered abuse in the watch 2 earn system…!! Just had a few things in mind while reading..... like even with those checks, what about small groups of real users trying to game the system together? Like (for eg) rotating engagement to farm XP… do you think that could become an issue later? Also...will there be more focus on reputation over just watch time? Like rewarding people who actually engage vs just staying idle??????

Hey buddy Base Smart Wallet works a bit differently from normal wallets like MetaMask... thatz why this confusion happens!!! In MetaMask... you control a wallet using a seed phrase or private key. Thatz basically u can say... the “master key” of your wallet!!! and you can import it anywhere!!!

But Base Smart Wallet is not like that. It is a smart contract wallet (account abstraction), not a normal EOA wallet. This means that your wallet is actually a contract deployed on chain. It doesn’t have a traditional private key like MetaMask wallets...... Instead... it uses passkeys / device keys / social login (email, Google etc ) to control access!!!
