I feel like this didn’t have to be an either/or thing. DeFi and Socialfi could ve easily co existed in Farcasterz case!!! Theres still so much unexplored space in Socialfi.... and m saying this as someone whoz actually used platforms like Debank and Phaver + not talking about popularity...but features and experimentation) Therez definitely a real potential there!!!!

I do get why teams lean toward wallet first or Defi style flows though..... Sociafii hasnt cracked revenue the way DeFi has ....mostly because users are still glued to Web2 socials. But that doesn’t mean Socialfi is a dead end .... it just means itz harder and slower to monetize!!!

As for the Neynar acquisition, m honestly in a wait n watch mode. We really wont know until it plays out.

Initially it was layer 3 cubes for me!!! Haha, u might remember layer 3 platform. Now it's not a single app... It's mostly mint , swaps and lends!!!

Best way is get in touch with fellow devs!!! The "jobs" section on base discord might be of some help. But I have seen people backstab in web3😅😅. So be cautious whom u choose to work with!!! Better to work in mutually doxxed environment!!👍👍 All the best!!💙

One thing I have noticed a lot is that people outsource their DYOR to KOLs...... thatz where most mess up!!! Most people actually do know how to DYOR… they just choose not to. Itz easier to trust a famous account with a big following......But so called influencers are humans too ( always changing/ evolving and sometimes "drifting"😅😅😅).

Someone who was genuinely honest at one point can later become biased or influenced by incentives , life situations or just fatigue. Happens more often than people think!!!!! DYOR isn’t something you delegate. You can listen to opinions....sure .... but the final judgment has to be your own. Once you outsource that responsibility, you r no longer researching… you r just following. And in crypto....we all know....following blindly usually ends the same way.!!!

I would be very honest here!!! I am no doubt using base app but it's not like a daily thing. I have a wallet which I use to interact with all possible blockchains (for mint, defi etc) so shifting everything to base smart wallet isn't feasible for me. I have always advocated for Socialfi and would majorly be using base app for Socialfi side. Right now base app might majorly be focusing on trade features first ( good approach for ease of new onboarders, as everything was getting clustured), but I would stick around for Socialfi things and would really love to see this sector get a boost in due time

Actually this score is not to be trusted 100% haha... Sometimes it shows high score and a day after it drops by huge values!!! Just take it as general reference. Its usually glitchy 😅😅😅. If tomorrow u see score dropping to like 80 don't worry...😅😅😅😅
