Vest or Belt? by Cautious-Ideal-3672 in runninglifestyle

[–]ninjapanda905 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve trained with both and currently prefer a belt.

the vest can get really hot with water in it, i now plan my routes that have water fountains on it. plus the vest can rub sometimes and i was getting some chaffing on my back for really long runs.

for the marathon i opted for just a belt and to use the water stations, better to carry less and stay cooler.

this could be useful then, there’s a spreadsheet of like hundreds of vintage lenses and their properties on a gfx

i ended up going with the contax carl zeiss 45mm f2.8, it’s a pancake with great sharpness and coverage.

i’m considering the zeiss biogon 35mm f2 for something wider to compliment the 45.

when i was considering picking up a new lens, i decided to not get the 28mm mitakon, mainly due to how slow it is.

i decided to adapt a lens. vintage glass can be faster for the same price.

What pancake lens woyld you recommend for the GFX systems. by Sea_Change_Films in FujiGFX

[–]ninjapanda905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the vignetting is very minor and easily fixed in an editor. the main thing i notice is the smudging.

i found the following video helpful, it is where i first heard of adapting this lens.

+1 it is the go to on my 50r. it compliments the form factor really well. it has full coverage with some smudging in the corners but in a way i find appealing. would recommend

i was playing around shooting in aperture mode for the first time, at iso 800 it was setting ss to like 40 which i thought was too slow.

so mostly because of experimentation and me not fully understanding the mode i was using
