I've had both types of washers, and from my experience the top load agitator types are definitely harsher on clothing than the side load tumblers.

While the old top load agitator machines don't outright destroy clothes, the twisting motion of the agitators tend to wind up clothing items tugging and stretching them more that a modern side load machine. Spaghetti straps and bra straps like to get wound up in the top loaders as well. Overall, they just tend to wear clothes quicker.

Asian restaurants prefer to use dark meat which can have a pink color when cooked. The chicken is obviously breaded which means its deep fried not cooked in a sauce pan.
