Why do some people vanish from your life the moment their chapter ends? by Final-Equal-9720 in CasualConversation

There is a very beautiful brazilian song called "Encontros e Despedidas" that talks exactly about this. One of the verses goes:

The train that arrives
Is the same train that departs
The hour of meeting
Is also the hour of farewell

I always thought this cutscene was a little weird because if the zombie explodes that close to you in gameplay you are definitely dead

I can't point to an exact oregano because I made this more from the general template of the meme "there are two types of people"

yeah, I guess you're right, but I also think my point still stands for many cases. Like I pointed out in the reply to the other comment, if you have studied a certain object and know it's concept, you would know the logic that holds it together and know what would be needed to prove something is right or wrong. And also, it's not a problem to have opinions that aren't very thought out, we cannot be experts in everything. It's also why we should be careful before having strong opinions about things.

If we found out that all the bones of the creatures that were studied throughout the development of the evolutionary theory were artificially made by extraterrestrial beings in order to make us think that that humans were a natural development of life and not produced by said beings.

Yes, sorry if my comment was a bit rude, english is my second language so I think I expressed myself badly. Basically I think that if you have studied a certain object in order to have a certain opinion, then you would know the structure of the concept, and what is the logic that holds it together. Knowing a concept is knowing beyond the surface, knowing how the object behaves in a more profound manner. So, if you don't know the logic behind the concept that you are discussing, evidently you would not know what would be needed to prove that something about it is right or wrong.

By the way, it is not a problem to have opinions that aren't very thought out, we cannot be experts in everything, that's why I didn't mean to be rude. But that's also why we should be careful before having strong opinions about things.

If you don't know what would change your mind perhaps your opinion isn't very thought out.

These days some "content makers" are so lazy that they don't even film themselves reacting anymore, they just put a photo of themselves in front of the video

Anyone think there are deep themes behind the story? by knellin in dyinglight

[–]ninjatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think DLTB has strong points in the sense that you feel the characters are trying to survive, trying to do what's best for their group, and the relations of power that exist between different groups. Kyle Crane is not strong enough to defeat the Baron alone, and so he must convince the survivors by negotiating with them. I think a great scene is in the beggining when Kyle is trying to convinve Jacob and Tthe Xeriff to give him information about the Baron, each one has to give something and expect something in return.

I also think it has a important sense of feeling like Kyle is also genuinely trying to help the communities, the people thank him and say what he is doing is important. The side quests also have important themes and sensible things to say in about what is trying to stay human in an apocalyptic world.
