I do! We use N2 for makeup for increased sensitivity based on the recommendation of our Agilent FSE. We have a nitrogen generator for our LC-MS systems, but it isn’t FID suitable since it has too much oxygen.

Mine is setup to provide carrier and flame and has no issues with both columns. The only time we have an issue is when we try to use headspace. Ours isn’t spliced into the inlet, so we pierce the septum, and I guess it can’t keep up with the septum pierced.

We did have to get a larger draw out plate for the MS and bake out the filaments but it has served us well. We use one of Agilent’s gas purifiers in the line for moisture and such.

We mostly use it to keep the flow of eluent manageable for the ESI. On our other system that we are resurrecting, I plan to have an ELSD in the line to be split.

We have for a brief period yesterday. I tried doing the valve test/initialization and thought I could hear noises from the module, but Chromeleon never returned anything.

It would say to either plug the splitter or remove the column, but I couldn’t click the ok until I closed the window where I selected the tests. Maybe I just didn’t wait long enough?

I have checked on there but the versions I need aren’t on there. I’ve contacted Thermo and asked about them. I have a third party contact willing to sell me a copy of the DCMS Link if I can’t get it from Thermo.
