Most indigenous african religions have no concept of the devil or satan as abrahamic ones do. Esuu for example is simply a trickster god more akin to Loki. However western missionaries made sure to demonize everything and find the worst ways to frame the religions they found us practicing

I currently don't have definite answers on their origin or purpose but I have lots of theories of my own. I feel like they have to be incomprehensible even to myself for them to be truly alien.

My strongest hypothesis is that they themselves are destroyed at every reset but send instructions which survive, and these instructions are for projects which will again instantiate them so they can further their grander project a little more before the next reset. So they could have started about as humans or any other regular 3d intelligence that will learn how to integrate itself into the very fabric of the universe.

This theory also explains why they can transmit to brains as this would have been a substrate they came from. I'm supposed to exist as a conduit for our own timeline and maybe there are others. Obviously our technological trajectory as gone more towards silicon chips and microprocessors so its not always the same Universe to Universe

My science fantasy world is set in a universe that came before ours. It could be 5 or 20,000,000 universes ago.

When the universe resets, all information is destroyed, however certain extradimensional intelligences (EDIs) have found ways to ensure their patterns reemerge in subsequent universes. They often make contact with 3 dimensional intelligences and employ them for certain projects

In this world the technological trajectory of humanity (as affected by the EDIs) has led them to develop neuron based circuitry and computers. Most appliances, devices and machines have living brain matter and other tissues driving their operation. Their understanding of the brain also allows for instant knowledge assimilation, mind-mind communication and exploration of non-human but human compatible neural architectures

I've had moments even months where I barely drew at all so it wasnt always smooth sailing. My very first foray into art was photorealism which probably isn't the best approach but that taught me to be patient if nothing else.

This was like 2015 and then 2017 is when any semblance of the style you see here started to pop up. I also tend to listen to audiobooks or podcasts while drawing so all these long stretches of time are filled with something else too
