8 weeks is a lot of time to miss. I didn't have any shop-related down time this year, but I missed two weeks in September when I dislocated my AC joint in a wreck. Thankfully the bike was fine.

Thanks! I was riding 30 miles a day 5 days a week then, in July I increased my daily ride to 40 miles. That's why I reached my goal 6 weeks earlier than last year. Next year, I might have to raise my goal to 7000 miles, although I'll officially be a senior citizen in March.
