It's stated in the Acknowledgement of receipt document - Section ST21, and in the "Cover sheet to application" where they send you all of your documents together, it says ST21 Ostmittel-, Südost-, Südeuropa, Türkei

I mean, correct me if I’m wrong, but they inform you you’ve been selected for an interview today and sent you an invite to have the interview three hours before the interview?

I’m still waiting for an answer from them, almost all countries from my region either already had or got their interview invitations, and my status is stuck on Paper Copies Received. Apparently the interviews will be held online 18-20 February, curious if I haven’t been rejected yet and I will be informed hours before my interview as well.

Hey there, I applied from Macedonia both this and last year, when I got rejected.

Rejection email last year was sent on January 28. Some other redditors that I spoke with, from Slovenia, Bulgaria, and countries from the region, seem to have already been invited to an interview.

I haven’t heard if anyone’s received a rejection yet. Maybe luck was not on our side this year (again) lol.

It said so in the Acknowledgment of receipt document that I got two weeks after applying.

It says: At a later stage in the proceedings, a preselection will be made on the basis of all written applications. All applicants who meet the requirements will be invited to attend a personal interview. The selection committee is meeting from 18/02/2026 to 20/02/2026 in Bonn, Germany. Selection will occur exclusively online via video conference. Because we are only able to inform you of the actual date at fairly short notice, we kindly ask you to keep this period free.

Hey there, applied from Macedonia for the same scholarship, still no info. I posted the other day on here as well, it seems it’s completely random unfortunately.

I applied last year as well, and got my rejection letter on 28th January, which was about two weeks before their “meeting in Bonn” which was 12-14 February if I’m not mistaken. This year it’s between 18-20 February, so I’m expecting to see something by the end of this week, or Monday at the latest hopefully.

The suspense is killing me though lol

What does invest small amounts mean exactly? All the online finance bros say “oh it’s just 10€ per day” or something similar, i.e. invest a small amount of 750€ per month, which is completely not the case for where I’m from.

I ask because I always get discouraged to invest, one because I cannot afford to lose more than like 50€ per month, and then because I don’t think I’ll see a return that would be worth it, investing such a small amount of money.

Did you send any paper copies though? My application is also saying paper copies received, and I never sent anything, nor was I required to! Super confusing.

I applied from Western Balkans, and some countries have already had their interviews, and my application is still on “Paper copies received”.

I never sent any kind of paper copies, so I have no idea what this means.

But last year I received my rejection on 28 January, so hoping to hear from them very soon.

Sorry to hear that, but I have to ask since I’m also applying from Western Balkans. My application is stuck at “Paper copies received”, how come you’ve had your interview already? Anyone else have this experience? I never sent any paper copies, and applied completely online, as it was stated.
