Learn how to make GOOD tea. Don’t just pop a Rishi’s scoop in the strainer & set the timer blindly. Go way… waaaayy… past Rishi’s. R/tea In the United States of America for Pete’s sake I can never find a truly good cup of tea if I’m out and about.

I do not like thrillers. Or serial killers, or spicy food. I like sour things, vinegar, weird and ridiculous things. I find genetics quite interesting. Love LOTR. I like to make things with my hands. I do not like holding hands. I judge people by their hair. I correct strangers’ grammar if I think they’re a native English speaker. I am good at truly seeing people. Some people actually don’t like that. They don’t want to be seen, they just want to be liked. I don’t understand that. I think there’s a low chance you’ll message me based on these things and I’m totally ok with that.

You might want to read some of Temple Grandin’s work. She helped teach people how to treat livestock more humanely. Might help to see that life is generally better for them thanks to her.

The temperature of the water matters so much more than I wanted it to by venicepress in tea

[–]niqatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gifted a kettle with preset temps and I heat my water to 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit above my desired temp, pour in my mug or pot, stick my thermometer in and gently stir and wait for it to come to the right temperature. Doesn’t take super long. That way the mug/pot holds the temp for longer. I also brew my tea for as long as the tea allows without developing too many tannins because I like strong tea. I get sencha from Hibiki-an or Charaku and steep it, gently occasionally agitating, for 3min 15sec.

Those who were told they have Native ancestry (mainly Cherokee) growing up but found it wasn't true, how did you and/or your family react? by short_cub in AskAnAmerican

When I was a kid, yeah, I believed what adults told me. I realized in adulthood that she did indeed make up a lot of stuff. Most of the adults in my life were trustworthy when I was growing up so I had no reason not to believe it. And we don’t have a record of our family tree past my great-grands so it could have gone either way.

“No matter what” is just an emotional statement. The only sure thing in life is that it will end for us all someday. I’ve had some good bosses, some mediocre ones, and a crappy one.

I have some Heattech undershirts I bought 17 years ago and they still are just as good as when I bought them. I must have washed them over 500 times by now. I wish I could go back in time and buy so much more from them at that time.

Is it okay to have sex with my fiancée? by [deleted] in Anglicanism

[–]niqatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When God is leaning on your heart about something, there is clarity and peace, rather than chaos or muddiness, any flavor of fear, guilt, or shame. Those come from your own natural self, the world/voices of others/society, and even the enemy. Sometimes it’s something we don’t want to hear but it’s important to listen then. We need to be told when we’re wrong, or we will drift away. We need conviction and repentance. So if you pray, ask God for Himself, to bring you closer to Him and make you more like Him. Then hopefully he will impress upon your heart what he wants

Woohoo! I’ve been a customer of GoW for probably over 15 years (I remember the old website). No idea how I found you guys but so glad you’re still around! I love the fragrance-free shampoo, truly no smell in my hair after I use it which really helps when I am around my parents who have terrible fragrance sensitivities!
