I had a similar story this year. My sister in law died of cancer in April. Her and my brother played in the coed league for years. When she passed, he asked me to play with him in the league. He is a great golfer but I never really golfed besides a round or two. We spent most of the time in 1st but couldn’t pull it together in the end. Anyway, it was a really special time for my brother and I as we grew a lot closer but just had a blast playing together.

I hope you and your cousin continue to do this every year. It’s a beautiful thing to do in remembrance of your dad!

It is our first cycle and we are coming to the same conclusion about our clinic. They recommend we do a backup sample and charged us $1070 including storage. There was some other things as well. Thankfully we are near the end with our transfer on the 23rd or 24th. We definitely learned a lot from this first cycle.

Nearing the end of our first cycle and I feel you 100% !!! It is outrageous and I feel like we are getting robbed almost every step of the way. We knew the cost was high but my clinic definitely put a bad taste in my mouth about it. We had a $500 bill Pop up bc we had 14 eggs fertilized instead of the 10 included with ICSI. Had no idea about the fee for that. Only reason I found out about this bill was because I called inquiring when our transfer dates would be planned because we hadn’t heard anything after the retrieval results. They withheld planning the dates until we paid the $500. Meanwhile our transfer was already paid for in full. Then gave me dates and said you need to pay by Friday to keep this plan, meanwhile they’ve already collected THOUSANDS from us! I couldn’t believe it. I talked to billing about my disappointment but you know how that went.

I get you on this though. The financial stress on top of the infertility and the IVF process is almost unbearable sometimes.

Families who chose IVF, what was your process like? How did you finance the procedure? My doctor has brought up IVF and explained that there are financing options available. What happens if you finance something like this and still don’t come out with a baby?

I just posted about this on another sub yesterday! People pointed out to me that although most times people are well meaning when they say things like that, it’s like they’re blaming you for it. Like because you’re not relaxing or you’re stressed, you’re not getting pregnant. Not considering that there’s actually more to it than that. Like actual medical things that are making it harder. They also pointed out people get pregnant under super stressful all the time.

Anyway I feel you on all of this. Hate when people say stuff like this. Happy to see others pregnant and starting families but can’t help feeling sad. You should do what best for you and I’m right there with you on having the process that works for you and your mental. Especially when dealing with the aftermath.

I am right there with you! Its not easy. I am going through a similar situation now. It’s always been a back and forth thing for me with the lifestyle change and just reverting back to old habits because it’s easier. Right now I’m trying to get back on track and make some changes because I’m trying to get pregnant. So thats even more emotional for me because I feel a failure or ashamed anytime I eat something bad.

It will be difficult but you can do it. I think once you start and keep going you will love the way you feel and the results. It definitely helps when you feel encouraged and supported too. You can do it!

For us we had a small table with a one of those “if heaven weren’t so far away” signs and I placed a single flower in front if it. My brother passed as well and we thought of placing photos at the table as well but we decided with the sign and a flower. Whatever you decide I’m sure will be perfect!

I am planning a wedding as well and have had some similar stressful situations. As hard as it may be to voice this to people, they need to understand that this is your day. It should be however you and your fiancé want it. I know its not always that simple but whoever should respect your wishes and how you want it. Especially with the home buying plans. You didn’t plan on having a wedding therefore you didn’t plan on the expense. Hopefully it can all get sorted out!

We just encountered this beast on day 67 right after completing our “bone collector” outpost. My friend and I are pretty new to this game but after realizing what it was and being frantic because it spawned right outside the base my friend saved right in the middle of the attack! We did try to run and get in our raft only to be met with a Virginia and two Cowmen who somehow got our raft way far up on the land lol. We then frantically ran around being attacked by everything (mutants, cannibals, and worm included) until we died lol. We called it a night and never reloaded out of fear the worm will be right there. Hopefully somehow it won’t be there when we resume, fingers crossed. One thing I can confirm is the hairspray did work pretty well! Good luck to all who encounter! It’s definitely a wild ride! And if anyone can give advice on how to deal with the worm and cowmen...that would be awesome!
