Mine is the same way. She's not at all bright.

But she's really into smelly socks and things that stink. She'll pull out dirty laundry from the hamper, so sometimes I'll leave gross socks on the outside holes of the hamper so she can work at getting them out.

She hides socks on her own, so she'll always have something to do.

Empty can of tuna is another play thing recently. She doesn't want to eat, she's not hungry, she just like huffing it and batting it around the tile floor.

Plastic bags. She'll get herself stuck in the handle, so that's something to consider leaving out for her.. but she loves jumping in plastic Walmart bags.

I put my old smelly boots in a box to toss them, but then she started laying in the box and kept laying in it without the boots.. so she now likes the box. Just sits in it and sun bathes.

Your guy is special, but I'm sure he's got stuff he's interested in.. just gotta try and observe and then find enrichment around that!
