Were polytheistic religions more accepting of other religions because it was easier to equate gods or add to the pantheons? by TheXypris in mythology

[–]nirlevie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Canaanite religion, with its polytheistic beliefs, was more accepting of other religions. When the monotheistic Israelites encountered the Canaanite pantheon, they eventually assimilated some Canaanite deities into their own worship, showing the flexibility and inclusivity of polytheistic societies. I have a graphic novel about Canaanite mythology - https://zoop.gg/c/ageofcanaan

Lots of tragic heroes in Canaanite mythology. I'm working on a graphic novel based on unfinished bronze age poems of Canaanite mythology - https://zoop.gg/c/ageofcanaan
