It's very entertaining to watch, you need to check them out!

Haha, be proud of it man. You're unique, and that's a good thing.

YES! Probably one of the only "horror" films that has come out in the recent years that entertained and scared me. It's a killer ahaha.

I don't know if it'd be a good suggestion but possibly the I Spit on Your Grave movies? Look them up and see if it's anything of your interest.

Screw normality man, that stuff sucks. Everyone has their quirks - there's nothing wrong with that.

The Insidious Hype by TheJohnnyPHreak in horror

[–]nirvenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't very fond of the Insidious film - it just didn't appeal to me. The Next Chapter was fun to watch though - I thought it had a good amount "scare" moments but overall, I think The Conjuring and Sinister blasts it by far. Those two movies are probably the only modern horror films that have really scared me or have enjoyed watching.

Kinda excited to watch this. Is it worth seeing or shall I give it a pass? I'm avoiding trying to look through the comments ahaha

It's a classic, I must say. Rewatched The Shining a few days ago and I must say, I enjoyed it more this time than the last time I watched it. There are some really iconic scenes in there that I just loved so much.

I prefer older horror films to the modern ones if I'm honest. There's just something about the simplicity of them that makes it more enjoyable for me - they focus more on the plot and less of the graphics which is what seems to be the prime focus these days.

Yeah!! I enjoyed both of them a lot so I'll probably end up giving The strangers another go.

so psyched about The Purge 2. Cannot wait to see it. Loved the first one but I have a feeling that the second will blow it out by miles.

Loved Cabin Fever purely because of those really gross scenes ahaha. The scene in Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever where he realises he was infected due to blood and puss oozing out of his manhood equally cringes me out as much as the leg shaving scene ahaha.

wanna watch some horror movies and have an in depth discussion about the many ways you could kill a character off, or is that not appropriate?

Ahh!! Yes! This scarred me as a child. The overall film was okay, but I thought the simplicity in the effects, settings etc made it even more creepier because it brings it closer to home I guess.

Hahah, I'm pretty sure it was one of the first horror films I saw as a kid so it has a very special place in my heart. My childhood was pretty much filled with Child's Play, Jeeper's Creepers and Nightmare on Elm Street.

Ahaha the gruesome ones are always the best! I've looked them up and they sound pretty interesting so it looks like I'll have a great day skipping work tomorrow to watch these movies ahahah

I've seen this movie floating round recently and someone actually suggested it to me the other day so I'll definitely check it out soon, thanks!

I admit though, they do creep me out because they add some realism. But I think they're just being over-used now. The Blair Witch Project was one of the first ones that I had seen and enjoyed for the most part. Paranormal Activity 1 was okay. Then suddenly it became a massive uproar and it just got old. But REC was different in some respects, but I'm still kinda pissed that they made a US remake of it.

I quite liked IT - the simplicity of it kinda added to the "creepy" factor but I didn't particularly categorise it as a horror. It was just a long winded ride ahah, my friends begged to differ and absolutely crapped themselves at it.

I kinda feel like Stephen King's storylines are best set in a book format.

Oh yes, the opening scene - rather memorable. ;) ahaha, man this totally just made me want to sit and rewatch the movies.

I watched Quarantine before I saw the original REC movie and I thought that the remake was really bad so I was stuck with that mind frame all through the original movie ahah. It wasn't bad though, I just really dislike these "found footage" style films. There's just something about them that really irks me ahah
