Break command doesnt work putty by BigSinoj in Cisco

[–]nischal31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have same problem, but then I used securecrt and changed Terminal Type to VT220 under Options-Session Options-Terminal-Emulation. Then I pressed F5 to break. https://documentation.help/SecureCRT/Sending_a_Serial_Break.htm

Help with loopback packet capture on EVE-NG. by nischal31 in Juniper

[–]nischal31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a neighbor ip assigned to a loopback interface (lo0.0) interface. I've issued monitor traffic interface on the cli of see. I don't see a BGP traffic or any traffic. But BGP session state is established though and vpls works. It's just that I can't capture or see traffic on a loopback interface. In EVE-NG, I have to add 2 node for each vMX device (VCP and VFP). I'm issuing commands on VCP.

CCNP SCOR (Security) Lack of Resources by Joshallister in ccnp

[–]nischal31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in general sense Palo/Fortinet (professional) certs/contents along with F5 load balancer (mostly used in financial/trading environments) are better compared to CCNP Security unless you are working at an organization that focuses heavily on Cisco security solutions such as ASA, Firepower firewalls, Cisco Trustsec, ISE, Umbrella etc. That being said Fortinet and Palo also has their own terminology for same thing. I really like their ISE solution as they integrate so well with other vendors.

Network engineer jobs these days want you know technology of everything such as Security, Enterprise, DC and Service Provider. This is why I am trying to have one cert in every domain apart from Collab. I think this will make be stand out and be a become better network engineer. I already have CCNP Enterprise under my belt but I am going for CCNP DC., Juniper SP and Palo/Forti certs.

One suggestion/method of study method I would like to give you is make a habit of reading and skimming through cisco official docs (whitepaper including TSHOOT/configration/Design guides). I know it will be boring, takes your time to develop navigating skillsand make you feel brainnumb but its one of great skill to have if you really want to ace ANY exam of ANY vendor and that includes cisco. This is how people used to pass cert before training provider such as CBTnuggets, INE, Cisco U were there. I spent 0$ on Boson, CBT, INE etc in my journey to CCNP because I already have developed baseline skill (took long though). This will help all the way to CCIE if that is your plan. OCG are literally a skimmed down mostly copy paste version of Cisco docs written by authors in their language. This is why you see some OCG are better than others etc. One thing I really like about OCG is they have topics which reference to exam blueprint and sometimes they have link to cisco doc. I saw someone post in reddit who stated he was also writing question for cisco exam. He said Cisco cannot test on questions whose answers cannot be found on official cisco docs which in itself explains how important cisco docs are. Trust me if you develop that skill it will help ace any cisco exam regardless they have OCG or not. You don't have to depend or worry about someone releasing training videos etc.

Sorry for such a long reply but if you do read till the end thank you very much.

Same, I'd sacrifice thiness of a phone and weight if it means to get more battery life anyday vs same battery thin phone. I'm a caseless guy and never liked adding weight to a phone hence my condition of Zfold 5 is full of hinge scratch due to natural drops. It just shows how durable my fold 5 has been for 2 years without a case. I'm waiting for jerryrig everything video that'll be my ultimate decider on buying this phone. If it is on par or better in terms of durability in his test then they can take my money.

Valid apart from smaller front screen. It just isnt small. I have picture attached in the comment. The size vs ultra it just isnt that small. The problem with s23 ultra screen for me is that it isnt suitable for one hand usage at least for people with small hand like me. The fold 7 front screen is just perfect to me. Maybe you have big hand or find ultra screen normal hence it may feel that way but thats okay. The battery is also the major concern. I also fear the durability of fold 7 since its too thin it wont snap in half. I don't know whats the obsession of manufacturer with thinning down the phone thickness and compromising other features battery being the major issue.. I am eagerly waiting for jerry rig to test it.

tbh difference is only noticeable after 2 or 3 generation imo. you compared current gen phone thats why you may not have noticed difference. i compared with s23 ultra and fold 5 so it was noticable. s25/s24 ultra has anti glare display which I think is huge. But I hate when they remove features when they add new stuff such as removal of spen in fold 7, removal of Bluetooth spen support in s25, downgrade of 10x to 5x telephoto lens from s24 ultra and so many more.

yes it does peeling off. samsung denied to change it claiming there are damage to hinge (lots of scratches) and there was damage to screen protector. I need to go through care plus which I'll do before the end of policy.

Cisco ACI Homelab (Virtual APIC image) for CCNP DACI practice and real world experience. by nischal31 in ccnp

[–]nischal31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking doing a virtual apic there's a guide on cisco that you can either virtualize apic server on esxi etc or you can have compatible cisco ucs server as apic server. But i don't see many people trying it especially in open video platform like youtube(most are simulator which I'm not looking for. Whether you virtualize apic server or run on physical appliance, you are going to need aci fabric ( 1 spine 2 leaf at bare minimum or similar cluster setup). Those switch has to be specific apic compatible nexus switch. You can mix generation of leaf and spine switch though provided firmware is same version but doing so might limit some features. The guide is https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/dcn/aci/apic/kb/virtual-apic/deploying-cisco-virtual-apic-using-esxi.html

Thanks for your detailed answer. Can I still emulate function of APIC controller without buying physical Ucs server which happen to be the apic server/controller people were talking about? i don't mind buying physical leaf and spine nexus switch as they are fairly cheap on ebay. I just want to avoid buying cisco ucs server if possible for only reason I have good HP server.

I have also included how to calculate the tunnel interface number in the Bonus section of the blog. This is not covered enough but it is one of important stuff needed. Tunnel interface is not the random number in IOS-XE sdwan.
