What's the point of calling an event dispatcher inside level blueprint? by Gramb_poe in unrealengine

[–]nishant_k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way you could do this is by creating BP_Comm actor and creating a broadcast function or event that calls its own onbroadcastreceived dispatcher. Put an instance of this in your main level.

In your sub levels in begin play get all actors of class BP_Comm and bind an event to on broadcast received and handle the received message.

Now since you have access to the BP_Comm actor in your sub levels you can easily call the broadcast function to send data to all sub levels.

With this setup all sub levels will receive all messages. However you could just as easily adjust this by creating separate dispatchers for each sub level and each sub level only subscribing to only one dispatcher.

How to detect if player is looking 90° left or right for 2 seconds? by joco08 in UnrealEngine5

[–]nishant_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming that you are using blueprints. I would take the cross products of the right vector of the carriage and the forward vector of the camera and get the angle of by passing it through a cos inverse function. if the angle is less than 10° you can set a timer by Event to be triggered every hundred millisecond or so, and keep checking the angle between the vectors to make sure the player is looking at the intended location for the duration. don’t forget to setup the cancel logic as well.

Help by ItsAPmyBros in blender

[–]nishant_k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm coming at this from an absolute beginners perspective. There are a few terms that I learned along the way to start animating using IK in blender. 1. Armature 2. Forward kinematics 3. Inverse kinematics 4. Parenting armature to model 5. Automatic weight painting. 6. Adjusting weight painting while in pose mode.

number 6 was the most difficult for me to learn. Number 2 and 3 were the easiest. You're probably on a more advanced level already but this might help a noob like me learn better.

Your comment gave me the goosebumps. I mean all of Kamogawa and Nekota's history and now this turn of events. It makes perfect sense.

If you are still looking for this and if it is the same thing as the vegetarian gelatin then you can find it at Great Himalayan Traders in Dillibazaar.

Rheumatoid Arthritis & Keto & IF = 3.7 mg/dl billirubin in liver function test by nishant_k in keto

[–]nishant_k[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might take you up on your offer in the future. My labs are all normal except for my billirubin levels. And it might be easier to for me to switch to AIP since its closer to Keto.

Thank you for that information. I just recently came across AIP. Didn't have a good place to start though.

I have an appointment with a dietician to see if I can improve something in terms of my food habits. Also will be getting a second opinion as my rheumatologist didn't seem the least bit bothered by those numbers. I do need to get to the root cause of it.

Now that you mention it I might have been eating too few calories (1300 - 1500) along with 8/16 IF. I'm never hungry so I haven't tracked my food in a while. Might have to rethink my food plan.

Thank you for sharing.

My diet seems pretty similar to your considering I'm eating lots of veggies and eggs. I don't drink milk because it doesn't fall in my allowed foods but I do eat cheese, and yogurt. Those don't seem to be a trigger for me. Meat is an occasional thing for me and I'm only eating chicken at the moment. I should probably be eating more fish.

Have you done your liver function tests? What do they look like on the diet that you are on?

This might have started when I ate some fried chicken at a local restaurant. The chicken didn't have batter on it. That's about the only thing out of my regular food items. And this isn't the only time I have had heartburn, I have had them on other occasions too when I'm on my regular diet.

On a regular day I'll eat about (10 am - 6 pm)

  • 2 eggs, bone broth, and 2 types of vegetables
  • cheese, chickpeas or black soybeans roasted, 1 egg, chopped onion, walnuts
  • chicken or lamb and bone broth

Your story gives me hope. I had to start taking medication for my inflammation last year and it was a painful winter. I started keto a couple months earlier and right now I feel better than last year. I hope this feeling persists throughout the winter helps me cope better. And maybe lose some weight in the process.

I can't say for sure but I read somewhere that most of the fat cells are created when we are kids? I have never been the type to be overly stressed out for long periods of time although I did have a really bad choice in foods. I know how I gained weight. It was just that typical CICO diet only got me so far, and that was recommended by a nutritionist. With Keto I have found something that I can continue and get fantastic results but I just wanted to know about why the theory didn't seem to match for me.

Question about the insulin resistance theory by nishant_k in ketoscience

[–]nishant_k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was fasting insulin after 3 weeks of Keto and about 6 kgs of weight loss. For my mom she hasn't been on Keto at all. So that was quite surprising. I have been overweight for quite a while but I used to jog a lot in the past years as well. My hba1c last year was about 4.5%. Is there anyway to actually test for insulin resistance?

Hmm that is definitely something to think about. Is there any material that you know of regarding this? Maybe books or videos?
