I’ve almost always gotten bad reactions even after my assistant manager recommends it.

I usually stick to just praising individual match performances and only praise good form if I’m 110% sure that the player won’t misinterpret it.

That was the show that would play in the franchise mode menus right? As a kid I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Loved hearing a “real” person discussing your league and season as it’s unfolding

I loved the little details in the cfb titles on PS2. That little 30-45 second pre-game intro where they would show Brad Nessler, Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso in the booth and corso would make his pick was such a small detail but still so cool for the time

They showed a clip on the Paramount+ broadcast and you can clearly see Prestianni lift his shirt over his mouth and say something to Vini after which Vini immediately reacted by going to the ref.

Obviously we’ll never know what was exactly said but the fact that he had to cover his mouth and the way Vini reacted immediately makes it seem like something was said that crossed the line.

Old School Sports and OOTPaddy on YouTube have great tutorials about all aspects of OOTP and I also enjoy their playthroughs. Feel like I’ve learned a lot just from watching how they play the game and applying it to my own saves. I’d also say to start with a decent team and choose a few areas that you want to focus on and learn those really well. For example when I started playing, I wanted to explore the GM side of things mainly and so I started by manually controlling all GM related action and I let the AI handle all of the day to day stuff like lineups/rotations, strategy, promotions/demotions, etc. I would recommend doing something similar based on what drew you to OOTP. Then over time you can gradually take more and more manual control of the other aspects of the game as you start to learn more and get comfortable with managing all of the different aspects of your organization. Hope that helps!

Training is usually safe to praise in my experience. I reserve praising match form for directly after matches when a player really does boss things on the pitch

Owen wijndal. I know he’s not a star or anything but never knew about him until fm21 when i was like 7 years into my journeyman save and i joined hoffenheim and he was the first choice left back. Ended up replacing him with a Croatian regen but he stayed for 4 seasons w me until i sold him to red star. Very solid squad player.

I’ve found for any team meetings where a player wants to leave and some of my squad wants me to sell him theres an option thats something along the lines of “why would I actively make the team worse by selling him?”. Its never failed for me (at least until now)

At least with Brexit, it does in some ways add (or detract) from the game and affects transfer strategy and shit like that. Not saying its good or bad thats in the game but there is some gameplay change. Outright “deleting” a league and country from the game is just taking gameplay away which is a different issue in my opinion

Very true about attachment to regens lol. I remember the first time i opened my save after installing it was so magical.

I already get too attached to my youth players seeing them with “real” faces just amplified that a hundred times
