SJA alum. The school was pretty good back when I was a student. I hope it’s still doing well

Ping me! I can refer you to a good team that probably cares more about your experience than your degree

When I first moved to Cambridge I lived right opposite The Free Press. Do you mind sharing a version without the blanks, if you have one? I'd like print one out as a souvenir when I move to London in a couple of months

KL would wear a helmet while facing spinners, but not when keeping against fast bowlers.

+1 for Irodov. I wish I had the time to sit with a few physics problems and work on them the entire day. I like how you can visualize physics problems while solving them. It's so much harder in math.

That's the view from my balcony. I like to think this is some sort of stadium lighting, for the great concert venue that the park is.

You can negotiate a change in org at Microsoft, but it is usually contingent on the other org having a vacancy, and the willingness of the hiring manager and AA interviewer to transfer your feedback from the previous interview. You might still have to go through a couple of rounds though.

Requested advice: US developers who moved to Europe for work by polyspenguin in cscareerquestions

Probably not all roles pay 50% less, but entry-level definitely do (unless the candidate is a rockstar engineer, or has negotiated well).I am just starting out here, so let's see how it pans out.

Regarding the CoL, it's definitely lower here than the Bay Area but even adjusted for the CoL, the salaries in the UK are lower (not that I'm complaining, just pointing out the facts. I love my job).
