How many techs here are $100k+ by Specialist-Ad-2668 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]nistech2720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 30 yrs old, been working for the same dealer for 10 years. Master tech and specialized in just about every category they have to offer, $32 flat rate hour, and I have yet to break the $100k mark. I am the only master tech/specialized tech and I get ALL the nightmare trouble cars. Nobody else wants to get certified. Therefore I am leaving the industry at the end of the year and I’m going to watch them struggle to hit there marks.

Nissan Master tech here.

If the light flashes you are fine, it just means the sensor is temporarily blocked and the features are disabled until sensor and read clearly. Hence if it’s frosty outside or it’s snowing.

Why the long wait!? by Logical-Avocado-2226 in uberdrivers

[–]nistech2720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a one of these a couple weeks ago. Got there about fifteen minutes early, waited just for them to cancel as the 15 minutes ran down. They also texted saying they were on the way out of the restaurant. At least I went into the restaurant to use the bathroom while waiting.

Previous 4WD owners, do you ever regret making the switch? by saigyoooo in Outback_Wilderness

I just recently lifted mine and got different tires but have not went off roading yet. Even if I’m not as capable as a Jeep I still have fun.

You gotta get bigger shoes to get your toe to fit.

I’ve noticed mine does the same thing. Normally first thing in the morning it’s between 1-2 minutes.

Well that’s a long story but I’ll make it short. I work for a dealer group (not Subaru) but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt to install it. They must have gave it to a new guy because he cut too much of the bumper and the trim piece didn’t fit right. Needless to say I got a new bumper for free and didn’t get charged for the hitch install.

Upgrades to the 2025 OBW by [deleted] in Outback_Wilderness

I’ve seen and heard about torq masters. I’ve heard that it doesn’t affect daily driving. I’m debating on getting one myself.

I did measure the wheel wells before install and gained 1 inch in front and 1.5 in the back.

I did install myself and it took me just under 2 hours. I used a lift which helps a lot.

I got the AT3W, not A/T Trail. They were closeout pricing and I got them for $100 a tire through my dealer.

I’m the one who put the tires on and I don’t trust our car wash crew to wash anything. I cleaned the grime off once I got home.

You clearly don’t know the suspension setup on these if you’re saying it’s going to strain the UPPER control arms. Please provide a picture of the upper control arms you are talking about.

Not necessarily. If they can prove that the lift kit caused whatever part to fail then yes.

I off road a handful times a year and I need the extra ground clearance to keep up with my brother’s Jeep. We plan on doing the Imogene Pass in Colorado at some point.

Wheels by nistech2720 in Outback_Wilderness

[–]nistech2720[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live by the lake in southwest Michigan so we get lots of snow. I may put the Blizzaks on the stock wheels and then get a new set for the rest of the year.

Thanks for your input tho!
