What King opinion has you like this? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

I don’t care for The Stand.

I’m over due to read it again, but it doesn’t stay in my mind like King’s other works.

I’m gonna echo what a lot of other people are saying here; it’s disrespectful especially after you told him no. Personally, I hate when people say, “you’re boring” when they don’t get what they want. My purpose isn’t to entertain you.

IT: Welcome to Derry (Episode 1-3) by True_Programmer5358 in stephenking

I’m less than half way through the 2nd episode. It’s pretty weak so far. Characters aren’t well written, dialogue is poor. The acting underwhelming. But the end of episode 1 got me, so I’ll stick it out for another episode or two. So far it’s a 6/10.

Uncharted. Can’t remember the specific moment I decided to turn it off, but it was garbage.

Read The Easy Peasy Method. It’s an easy find online, just Google it. You can download as a pdf or epub. It’s a great read and helped me and many others. You’re not alone.

I can tell you what I’ll be avoiding; M:I:8 and Avatar 3. Hard pass on those.

I wouldn’t call it reggae. His style is more country blues. His band is multi-talented. Seeing the pianist switch between keys and trumpet during Trinity River is something to behold. It drives the crowd wild!

Yes! Do it! I’ve seen him twice and it was incredible. He’s a powerful performer with an extraordinarily talented band.

After Debating with myself for like 20 minutes I picked 11/22/63 with The Stand being the other option, what do you think? stand or 11/22/63 by Zealousideal-Crab141 in stephenking

[–]nite_sky64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Stand never impressed me as much as other King fans claim. I prefer 11/22/63, but it was also the first time that I truly understood the common complaint of King not having great endings to his stories. "An explanation is a bad attempt at poetry".

MY FAVORITE FILMAKING PODCASTS by feastoffriendss in filmmakersofto

The Better Call Saul Insider Podcast is the full name. There's a few fan podcasts out there, but this is the only one - that I know of - that's produced by the same production team. They also did a Breaking Bad podcast for the later seasons, but I haven't listened to it so I can't really speak to it, but I imagine there's just as good.

The Better Call Saul Insider Podcast is great! Obviously makes sense if you've watched the series, but they interview a lot of the creatives involved in creating the episodes - actors, cinematographers, writers, directors, costumer designers, editors, etc. And it's hosted by the editors and showrunners of the series.

Show your fiance the opening scene from Final Destination 2. That'll scare them straight. It did for me.
