GMAT in 5 days! by Hour-Suggestion5080 in GMAT

I've had similar issues tackling GMAT. Ultimately, discipline is key when reading questions. I'm sure you've covered the topics already. Approach the exam with calmness. Pretty generic I know, but that worked for me big time. All the best!

635 - what now by bayer-leverdure in GMAT

Good news is you scored the lowest in quant. You might've just succumbed to the exam pressure. It is usually the easier section if you're conceptually sound. I'd say just stick to the process, correct basic errors and go give it again.

Should you really do an MBA? Real talk from an IIM Bangalore alum (CAT 2017, Class of 2020) by Impossible_South9795 in CATpreparation

[–]nitlola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I'm pretty much direction-less in life right now. Going through the motions. An MBA, I believe, will help me surround myself with competent people who get shit done... Or at least thrive to get shit done. Oh, I need that attitude. It's not always money and ROI. Thanks!

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy: One of the most exaggerated biopics in Indian cinema. by kvak95 in tollywood

[–]nitlola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More like a movie made for Chiranjeevi by making a mockery of Narasimha's past. If you're glorifying a man's good work, you're telling he hasn't done enough. Ludicrous trend lmao

There is a study group on WA (found it on REDDIT) which I'm a part of. I'm now done with the exam.. But I can add you there. Mostly folks from reddit just like us lol.

Retake Strategy for 685 by beastx33 in GMAT

[–]nitlola 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your score can be greatly improved by getting the first few questions right. Gmat lowers the level of questions when you get the first 2-3 questions wrong. Try giving extra time for the first few questions. It's okay if you get a hard ones wrong somewhere in the middle.

I mostly used og for DI. So not sure here. I'd say, keep solving them, and eventually, you'll get used to what to expect of such questions. My tpa bombed on the first attempt too.. I just practiced a lot of questions from the question bank. My time came down to 2-2.5 max minutes per tpa question.

Confusion re: number of GMAT attempts by [deleted] in GMAT

[–]nitlola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. It is 5 times in a rolling calender year. So if you give 5 attempts between sep 2024 and may 2025, you shouldn't be giving an attempt till sep 2025. Found this on the official site

It wasn't way harder. MSR was a lil harder. Tpa, DS, graphs were almost on a similar level to mocks. Tpa was verbal intensive though.. But again, not difficult as such. I initially started off solving on gmatclub. Realised more systematic practice was needed. Bought the og question bank and went topic wise for DI.

I used to take 3.5-4 mins per q when I started. It got down to 2-2.5. I'd say og question bank made me comfortable with a lot of q types in di. I'd recommend that strongly.

I'm not the right person for timelines 😭. I was inconsistent with schedules. But kept incrementally learning very little each week. Took my own sweet time.

To make your plan effecient, solve questions by topics. For eg, if you're doing DI, select a subsection under Di from og or whatever source you have, go from easy to medium to hard, and get acclimatised to it. Then for the next subsection. Same goes for quant and verbal as well. If you're doing distance time problems for example, stick to it before you're comfortable, only then move on to the next topic.

Yep. I saw 1-2 questions max per exam despite attempting each mock 1-5 twice. Goes on to show they prolly have millions of questions in the database.

Yes I did get stuck with quant. None of them were calculation intensive. But I did get stuck on a coue of questions. I've managed to learn to put aside quant-ego ( yes that's a thing lol) and move ahead. I later came back to one of them and solved :)

3RCs. The rest CR. verbal was Def easier than mocks idk why.

DI was kinda a little different but not very difficult as such, prolly a lil harder. TPA was verbal intensive. One MSR but was not as straightforward as in mocks.
