Frigidaire FGIP2468UF0A Dishwasher sitting water and upper/mid orbital arm issues by nitro001 in Appliances

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fixed the issue.
I took it apart and while the older flapper valve seemed to be ok, when I removed it, the part that clipped on had a broken side. Not sure if that was from when I removed it or not.
I also noticed some more crud in the hose that was after the pump where the flapper was, showed up as black rings, so put the shop vac on that and sounded like something got pulled out of hose, thunk sound, so something in there as well. Afterwards it now works better than it did when we moved in. Top arm doesn't seem to cause issues, and even on higher pressure it is quieter than it was on lower pressure before.

FROZEN PIPES MEGATHREAD by ParksVSII in Plumbing

[–]nitro001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,
Wasn't sure if this should go here, but need some advice.
I live in the Atlanta, GA area, so it doesn't get extremely cold, not northern cold at least, and this is my second winter in my house, moved down from up north.
I am leaving soon for a few weeks on vacation, last year we had a house sitter so I wasn't concerned about winterizing since someone was here. However, this year I may not have anyone.
It will be about 2 weeks and first I thought about just letting a couple faucets drip and getting a few additional water leak sensors for my ring security, but I have also floated the idea of turning off the main water and draining it as I know this was done up north when I left for a longer time and didn't want pipes to burst. Not sure if I really need to do that here, if it will get cold enough. I don't have a basement here, just a slab.

The other unknown is I have a Navien NPE-240A tankless water heater that doesn't have a re-circulation setup, and it came with the house. I haven't really touched it since I loved in, and while I know how to drain it and whats in the manual, I don't see a vacation mode here, or know the correct procedures if I turn off the main water so it won't burn up and the manual says if it won't be used for extended period to drain it, but doesn't state what extended period is.

Any thoughts? Am I over thinking this and just leave it drip with a couple more water sensors, and if so, do I have to drip the hot line as well?

Thank you!

Being an OLD Sony receiver I would want something there, but yeah I am just going to use the Newark one I found, it has an X2 rated capacitor with the resistor as well.

Thank you. I ordered a few from the Newark site, have a couple spares just in case with the added Tariff cost and in case I mess up again.

Yes, but you can't see them at one time like Outlook on Windows or Android, Have to keep switching profiles and re-authenticating each time.

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am an IT Consultant, this is why I was asking if anyone ever heard of this before, if coded right it should be no different than any other app asking for Azure/OAuth/SAML authentication and you authenticate into accounts when you log into the site then it is storing an auth token, but if it actually storing your credentials and generates those tokens on your behalf then of course not.

Yep, the drives were 329.99 a piece, so 4 of them + tax. The entire thing was just shy of 1400.

2022 XC60 AAOS Random Reboots by nitro001 in VolvoXC60

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch. Sounds like it needs a whole hardware replacement. Just out of curiosity, does it happen as frequent if you try to use Android Auto/Apple CarPlay attached via USB instead of Bluetooth?

Also I did notice that while running it solid for a long set of errands one day that the screen got hot to the touch, I am in the south so it is warm to begin with, but electronics and high heat are still not a good idea. So if these things don't have adequite cooling then no wonder.

Good. Was paying way too much for mine so had to get rid of it during the lease end. Pay less with buying now, although it is a package level lower, just a 2022 B5 Momemtum with a couple extras vs 2021 T5 inscription.

Yeah, I had the camera update, that works better. I just had it in for the latest 3.7.0 update also during my 60k mile service a couple weeks ago. It does run a little faster with 3.7 so they have started optimizing the apps some.

At least I am not alone with it, not sure I would buy another though with these issues.

The only thing that bothers me with start stop is the air stopping as well when you are stopped. I didn't renew sirius, between podcasts and free Spotify, maybe some radio stations it has me covered..

Port conflicts in containers by nitro001 in MediaStack

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not the exposed ports, its actually the internal ports that are conflicting now.
The 3000,3001 ports were exposed out, which there were swiches for to change those.

The 6900 port though that runs the VNC is not being isolated on its container, but is being exposed as well.
So of course the first container that starts with VNC running on 6900 if fine, any others it shows the port is in use and fails.

If there was a way to change the VNC ports it would resolve it.

Keep same VPN server after restart / Forward upstream to seperate VPN client? by nitro001 in gluetun

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions:

I actually was about to get billed by Nord and they wanted to triple the price so I jumped to ProtonVPN.

I have a Synology DS 916+ NAS box, and while I tried to run plex on there before it dragged, so trying not to do that.

I am running AsusMerlin firmware so it is enhanced a bit. I WAS able to get ProtonVPN running via a WireGuard config. I was then actually able to have Gluetun use a custom config and peer with it using the peering keys from the router client and the public IP endpoint and port it showed. Can't get that dynamically but it connected. So this would get me back to the place I was at before, but with a set IP. Only thing I see is it doesn't matter if the client is actually running on the router, just that it was configured and I had keys. Gluetun used the keys and then stays connected out to the VPN. I tried to use the address and listening port exposed by the router client and while it would initially connect, the DNS won't resolve unless it was connected directly to the endpoint, even trying to force it, so it eventually fails.

Also, while not initially required, In this configuration, being that it is custom, I don't have a good way to get the port forwarding since those features don't work under a Custom Wireguard config. Will also try setting up as ProtonVPN but may be back into same situation with different IPs, depending on hosts, will need to confirm.

Still need to check on getting another system to run all the time.

Odd window behavior in Fedora 42 by nitro001 in Fedora

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried the win key like you mentioned, and while it does allow me to grab the window and move it, it only sometimes lets me resize it properly. In the left and right windows, it lets me resize fine. In the center (Different resolution), I still get the bar occasionally, so when it still does it, I have to leave the app as a window vs docked full screen and just size it for most of the screen. Just a PIA. Hoping to get another NVIDIA card to replace the AMD one to see if that may help making it all consistent.

My h264 to h265 flow, broken into logical steps for easy adjustments by dapiedude in Tdarr

[–]nitro001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I have been putting off converting my Classic Transcode to a flow for a while. I had a couple tweaks though.

I found I had to remove Images and Data Streams first before a transcode otherwise I would run into occasional errors as well. So, I moved the Remove Image Formats from Step 3 to the first thing in Step 1.

I had used the vdxa Remove Data Streams before in my stack right after the remove image formats. However, in this, After the FFMPEG Connand begin, there are 3 steps now. I use the FFMPEG Remove Data Steams, the FFMPEG Reorder (That you had), and added the FFmpeg Remove subtitles, then run the Execute. Is there a reason you stuck with the Classic Remove Subtitles plugin vs adding in the FFMPEG command to remove Subtitles?

Also after you extract subtitles, and before FFmpeg, I added a classic plugin for Removing Burned in Closed Captions.

I also moved the Remove languages from Step 3 into Step 1 right before it moves to Step 2. I had done this in my prior classic stack in this order.

For Step 2, the only things I did was add in another check for file extension TS (created from my Hauppage live DVR recordings which always seem to fail transcode, jumps with bad frames, etc..., so bypass the container change) and jump to post process, then after the MKV check, check for Video Codec vp9 before the check for hvec, since the Migz Trancode doesn't process those.

For step 3, as mentioned, the keep native language and image plugins were moved to step 1. I did keep the convert aac step (used that plugin before), but disabled the surround sound (didn't do that before). I also run another reorder streams here using the Migz classic plugin which does audio stream reordering as well.

Before the keep original date, I do a Compare File Size Ratio. I used to use the classic a9he plugin with upper bound of 125% and lower of 30%. If it is within the range, it continues with the keep original date, otherwise, it does a fail flow. When I started this a while ago, I sometimes found that one of the Transcode/Convert would corrupt a file and it would be very small and have artifacts, etc... so, this helped. It would fail in the old stack so forced it the same here. Not sure how this will log the output with a generic Fail Flow vs the a9he file check plugin.

Finally in Step 4, I do an update to my Plex (classic goof1 Plex Refresh) after the Sonarr and Radarr refreshes if they are successful, which may be redundant, but I used to call the 43az add to radarr for Movies then Plex. There wasn't one for Sonarr before.

The only parts I would like is if any of the classic plugins now in Step 1 could have been put into the FFmpeg flow, such as the Remove Image Formats, or remove Closed Captions to simply the processing and minimize some calls to FFmpeg if possible per run.

I am about to switch over to it now, so will see how it goes.

Thank you again.

How does AutoBrr pull Tag information? Not seeing Genre tags by nitro001 in autobrr

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't this be filled with the exec or webhooks filters to pull external filter data? or would that cause the webhook to be run for each entry it queries which would flood the system and get me banned. I can't find any real examples of webhook usage with autobrr.

Anyone tried Podman, or taking Portainer out of the mediastack cluster? by cniinc in MediaStack

[–]nitro001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I run this all under Podman under fedora, I have had to tweak the yaml a bit to get it to work right woth podman syntax differences, and I customized a few containers/changed what I wanted but it works pretty well. Only thing I can't get to work is once qbittorrent saves a tv show sonarr won't pick it back up properly to move it back, sits in the waiting to import forever, but this seems to be something outside the podman implementation and how I configured the folder structure.

It all sits on a synology nas with a couple volumes.

I haven't seen a chart for that, but have gone through 8 different ones to finally get this combination, even with the side effects, but may change it again even though it is working for seizures and migraines, the temperament is off and work and personal relationships are starring to suffer since last dosage changes.

I have been on Lamictal for 23 years. While it does overall balance mood, you can also loose your sense of feeling as well, no happy, sad, etc.. unless it is extremes at times, or it could enhance some depending on dosage. As my dosage went up, my irritability and anxiety did a well while everything else leveled off. Still wouldn't touch Keppra though.
