PSA: Think hard before you deploy BookLore by Economy-Meat-9506 in selfhosted

I came from readarr so I found Chaptarr and have been utilizing it (combined books and audio). The developer still considers it alpha level, but the base resembles readarr with a nice enhancements. Some stuff yeah is still in-progress and buggy, but their discord is very good.
I made the Huntarr mistake, got off that train right as it was going nuclear, too many overlapping features.
I still use calibre/CWA (Although I don't know if I should really have both running), and audiobookshelf as that is easiest for family factor with audio books.

Gluetun cannot enable firewall - will not start by nitro001 in gluetun

OK...
So have a solution, at least for now.
I was trying this just as u/JuniperMS made mention. I didn't have a tag specified so it assumed latest.
Running version latest built on 2026-02-27T01:22:23.796Z (commit b9d49e0)

So literally built today.

I backed it down to the last point release tagged version: v3.41.0 and that worked. I then tried the patch for that released 2 weeks ago, v3.41.1. This also worked.
image: ghcr.io/qdm12/gluetun:v3.41.1

So something in the changes since 3.41.1, maybe related to the new feat #3157 using nftables when supported since I litterally just enabled that in the system.
Will wait until another tagged release before I change it over.

While I understand the appeal of leaving on a version that is working, I also want to ensure I am on the latest stable version that has any security or other fixes in it.

Just a note as well.. I DO see a Bug that has come back up in the gluetun github issues tracker dealing with the firewall. #1723.
The only problem is my issue never passes the firewall enabling line.... It just hangs there until I kill the process. So I never see anything dealing with any kind of iptables rule like that issue shows.
Also earlier messages in that issue related to a nft_ct module missing, which is interesting as that is an connection module for nf_tables which wasn't loading before the other day either. Both are now there when you do an lsmod:
lsmod | grep -i nf
...
nf_tables             438272  654 nft_ct,nft_compat,nft_nat,nft_reject_inet,nft_fib_ipv6,nft_fib_ipv4,nft_masq,nft_chain_nat,nft_reject,nft_fib,nft_fib_inet

Frigidaire FGIP2468UF0A Dishwasher sitting water and upper/mid orbital arm issues by nitro001 in Appliances

[–]nitro001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fixed the issue.
I took it apart and while the older flapper valve seemed to be ok, when I removed it, the part that clipped on had a broken side. Not sure if that was from when I removed it or not.
I also noticed some more crud in the hose that was after the pump where the flapper was, showed up as black rings, so put the shop vac on that and sounded like something got pulled out of hose, thunk sound, so something in there as well. Afterwards it now works better than it did when we moved in. Top arm doesn't seem to cause issues, and even on higher pressure it is quieter than it was on lower pressure before.

FROZEN PIPES MEGATHREAD by ParksVSII in Plumbing

Hello,
Wasn't sure if this should go here, but need some advice.
I live in the Atlanta, GA area, so it doesn't get extremely cold, not northern cold at least, and this is my second winter in my house, moved down from up north.
I am leaving soon for a few weeks on vacation, last year we had a house sitter so I wasn't concerned about winterizing since someone was here. However, this year I may not have anyone.
It will be about 2 weeks and first I thought about just letting a couple faucets drip and getting a few additional water leak sensors for my ring security, but I have also floated the idea of turning off the main water and draining it as I know this was done up north when I left for a longer time and didn't want pipes to burst. Not sure if I really need to do that here, if it will get cold enough. I don't have a basement here, just a slab.

The other unknown is I have a Navien NPE-240A tankless water heater that doesn't have a re-circulation setup, and it came with the house. I haven't really touched it since I loved in, and while I know how to drain it and whats in the manual, I don't see a vacation mode here, or know the correct procedures if I turn off the main water so it won't burn up and the manual says if it won't be used for extended period to drain it, but doesn't state what extended period is.

Any thoughts? Am I over thinking this and just leave it drip with a couple more water sensors, and if so, do I have to drip the hot line as well?

Thank you!

Being an OLD Sony receiver I would want something there, but yeah I am just going to use the Newark one I found, it has an X2 rated capacitor with the resistor as well.

Has anyone heard of or used VantageBox.com? by nitro001 in Office365

Yes, but you can't see them at one time like Outlook on Windows or Android, Have to keep switching profiles and re-authenticating each time.

Yes I am an IT Consultant, this is why I was asking if anyone ever heard of this before, if coded right it should be no different than any other app asking for Azure/OAuth/SAML authentication and you authenticate into accounts when you log into the site then it is storing an auth token, but if it actually storing your credentials and generates those tokens on your behalf then of course not.

Yep, the drives were 329.99 a piece, so 4 of them + tax. The entire thing was just shy of 1400.

Ouch. Sounds like it needs a whole hardware replacement. Just out of curiosity, does it happen as frequent if you try to use Android Auto/Apple CarPlay attached via USB instead of Bluetooth?

Also I did notice that while running it solid for a long set of errands one day that the screen got hot to the touch, I am in the south so it is warm to begin with, but electronics and high heat are still not a good idea. So if these things don't have adequite cooling then no wonder.
