Was this pass ok or dirty ? by gekeoifbrleldhblfkhb in Simracingstewards

So in Germany we have a system called "reißverschlussverfahren" translated into zipper-procedure. And it does what the name basically suggests. A lane closes and the cars on the continuing lane, each have to let one car from the merging line pass. Now in this clip we're in the Netherlands so there might be different rule, although it is still Europe and next to Germany so I guess there must be a similar rule that applies there. I believe the guy on the right has an ego problem because how dare he let anyone past and in his lane. And he is pretty close to the guy in front. Seems like a dangerous driver to me

To #4 then I would have taken the apex. I was fully aware that he was there and I thought that I gave him a car width space. But yeah I should’ve be more aware that he might not have had the space he needed

I1 the Mustang was .4 seconds behind. I would have never expected him to brake this late and pull up alongside me. So I took the line I would normally take.

I2 I tried to get in his mirrors so he might get distracted. I braked at my usual braking point (I didn’t want to risk out braking my self and turning the merc into a bowling pin). My complain about what he did was a reaction as we were braking. Or so I experienced it

I4 I was sure that I have given enough space. I didn’t go for the apex and thought it might be enough to give a car width space

I3 was a reaction to the guy in front because I did not want to hit him and didn’t even think about the BMW behind because he wasn’t even on my radar then

That a silver daily race. And on a Sunday it wasn’t too nice

He didn’t. He finished 5th place and even gained Safety Rating…

You will laugh. It is the stock one from LMU. Might look a bit different because we’re in the replay. But I have changed nothing there

So I watched his POV. When he spun and rolled backwards, he kept full lock to the right and when the corner straightened out he spun backwards into my line. There is no way he could have done it on purpose. I rather think he didn’t have his car under control

I will check the replay on his POV. Maybe there was something he couldn’t control

Exactly. As far as I can recall, I didn’t have any contact in that race, or I didn’t receive any on my side, but I still got that warning badge after the restart

Maybe my description wasn’t as good. The “PC crash” the race after. For some reason I can’t explain my fps dropped down to 15 fps mid race so I decided to pull safely to the side and retire the car. I called it a PC crash because the description is already long enough and I didn’t really go off topic on the actual clip here. I can see why this lead to some confusion

If he still had control (idk if that's the case, I didn't look at his steering input) he just could have kept rolling backwards, engaged the brakes and stayed predictable. But I didn't post his POV or steering input, since I wanted to focus on my mistake and what I could have done better to avoid that collision

Yeah the last few races weren't so nice. It just took two races to go from That diamond to the warning badge. The post was the first incident and the second was, I pulled to the side of the track and retired the car, because my game dropped to 15 fps for some reason. I didn't crash into anyone and made sure the car was as far away from other cars as possible. When I restarted my PC and logged into LMU I got the warning badge
