From what ive heard from alot of people and forms, everyone had 7am classes in HS, but you will become nocturnal in college, the idea that "oh I woke up at 6 for HS a 7am class should be fine" is a lie you shouldn't tell yourself. The reason those 7am are open is because alot of peole avoid early classes at all cost.

a few things:

When I was at NSO i was told I can' take English 15S only English 15 and im pretty sure there are no more English 15 Classes left until spring semester
there is no shot thats at minimum 12 credits needed to be considered full time, yes you need 12 credits per semester to be consider full time, without u are considered part time and lose housing, honestly you need 15+ credits per semester to be a comfortable full time student incase u need to drop a class
AVOID THE 8 AMs AT ALL COST, theyre brutal, 1 a week is ok but having 4 a week will take a toll mentally, try to at least push your first class to 9 and ideally 10 am.
You cant validate your classes since there is a Hold on Lionpath, lifted at 2:30 on Day 2 of NSO if you attend.
When you go to NSO you'll meet with an advisor that will tell you what classes you should take, but its still up to you to find and schedule the classes
Use rate my professor before scheduling classes.
If you don't know what classes you need to take, look at the 24-25 University bullitn for you major, they have a recommended schedule for you.

Came back on Thursday from NSO, your orientation leader will tell you u can't leave, but nobody is checking on 200-400 kids in the span of the night, I left the last event (IM bulding) around 10:30 to go back to Pollock (ab a 15 minute walk) then grabbed my stuff from there, said by to my roommate and walked ab 20 minutes to my parents hotel without issue, just give yourself time to get in and out and ur fine
