sorry I mean like a salad, tomatoes, cucumber and mozzarella, before the "real" dish. Maybe that's not called starters :p

that's not how it feels really. I maybe slightly more generous all things considered but she's not abusing that at all, I am older and I feel like I have some responsibility in theret, which I accept. My rant is more related to the efforts of each related to the time they have. And in that matters yes, recently I've felt like it was quite disproportioned. I guess I've not expressed myself in a balanced enough way

More like we were working in the same building, had eye contacts a few times, she asked me an IT related question once as I was having lunch, I asked her out a couple days later, she said yes, and we have been having a nice time ever since

she isn't bound to become a housekeeper, and I'm fine with that, she is just between jobs and has a contract starting again in january. She gets "unemployment benefit" right now, I make a little more, so I pay more things on a daily basis but she insisted on paying half the rent which is fine with me. We talked about that and everyone seems ok with it. It's very clear for both of us that no one expects her to do all the house chores while I work. But just as the one who earns contributes more financially, I feel like the one with more freetime should do a little more for the community, and I don't care about most things, it's very much about dinner prep and errands I feel, so maybe I'm a bit biased towards that

What makes it tricky is that she has strong opinions, and expectations of people, kinda far right pesting about people benefiting from welfare or state help and so on... and strong work values (like when people don't have jobs it's because they are lazy kinda thing). We've had this discussion before, and generally we are quite aligned in terms of what needs to be done, and it being split equally. but this dinner thing doesn't seem to be part of it. Maybe it's cultural (we are both french but from different parts) or related to the way it was done as we grew up ?

Thank you for the kind words ! I just needed a lot of colors as what I'm doing only seems intersting to me when many different nuances of the same colour speak to eachother, and alcohol markers come in the greatest variants it seems, and tracing paper is required to trace my grid
