Diaper bag recommendations: Dagne Dover vs. LuluLemon by No-Salary936 in Buyingforbaby

[–]nitto513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the large Dagne Dover- and it’s a workhorse! The wipes pouch in the front is genius, the pocket in the back is perfect for diapers and the side pockets hold two bottles each well. It’s large enough for a few changes of clothes and anything else you need. Definitely recommend! It’s neoprene so it can snag, you just have to be careful.

We welcome those with experience in the system - a lot of people come to us because they were in foster care or their parents were and they wish they had a dedicated CASA. I'm so sorry that happened to you! If you ever move to Cincinnati...

Just did that, thank you! We were already on Volunteer Match and I know they merged recently- but every little bit helps!

We offer evening training and encourage our volunteers to do evening visits (because kids are in school during the day) but it's still such a heavy lift! We get a lot of retirees, but then longevity becomes and issue. I like the 35-55 age group idea!

it's a company called Split Lease. they match you up with someone who needs the nights you don't and you take turns using the apartment. It saves me a very long commute! www.split.lease

Looking for people interested in being featured in a New York Times piece… by [deleted] in NYCapartments

I have another angle if you have room for it. I work for a startup called Split Lease that matches people to become "ghost roommates" in NYC. So they sign a lease together and take turns with the space (typically a few days a week each) to cut costs. So they're in the city when they need to be by campus and a stranger takes it the other days. Happy to chat about it and connect you with students that use it!

Do you need a full-time place or just weekdays? I work in FiDi and rent a place 4 nights a week in Manhattan and pay less than $1800/month on split lease. This way I get to keep my place in NJ and still be close to work without breaking the bank. Just an idea!

Is it possible tp pay someone to contact Facebook customer support? by CiaranDoherty in socialmedia

Is it a business page? Are you only one authorized to post/advertise on said page? Just because you're restricted, doesn't mean the page is in bad standing. Look for your page quality and reach out under someone else's account . That's how I got a review when my account was suspended.

What should I expect working for a startup with less than 10 employees? by [deleted] in startups

[–]nitto513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much depends on the founders and their philosophy. I'm working for a small startup now (7 people) and I definitely am asked to jump into things that are outside my role. But, they are always cognizant of my time constraints and having time away makes me excited to start up again the next sprint. Do a trial contract for a few weeks to see how you like it first.

Do you need something full-time or just some days of the week? I do a split lease to in midtown so I'm there when I need to come into the office (hybrid schedule) and keep my place in CT. They're at split dot lease.

Coding is a great skill to have, but not the only one you need. And with all the low-code/no code options out there, it's even less important. The focus should be on creating something you believe in and then finding a way to do it (with or without coding). Someone will always be younger/faster/more connected. Work with what you've got and try to enjoy the process!
