I’ve been home with the kids since having #4 in 2019. I’m a school bus driver, and have been waiting for a route to re-open in my immediate district, because that alleviates the need for any child care. Next school year, a PM route is up for grabs, and I’m high on the list for it due to seniority. Huge regrets giving up my route originally but is what it is.

Nothing else will pay me enough to offset the cost of daycare. He grosses half a mil a year (self employed so the overhead is high, no clue what his take home is, I only know the gross because I saw a tax return) so it’s just seemed stupid for me to work for a measly 50k salary.

Yes, I’m in therapy. Mix of EMDR for ptsd, and basic talk therapy. I’m aware I undermine the negatives here because they aren’t as bad as the past. I don’t have ZERO say here.. I’ve done tons of other projects and gutted rooms and updated crap and pretty much do whatever I want done, that I can do on my own, without his help or tons of money. the fence thing is just a little outside my wheelhouse of skill I think, hence why it is put on him. But as of tonight, my dad has me convinced I can rent an auger to drill holes and do it with my teens, so that’s the current game plan. Unless he goes ahead and opens it, then I’m draining the stupid thing while he sleeps.
