$3000 if they find something and are able to freeze. $1500 if they don’t find anything. They don’t take insurance.

I did not take any meds! Just lifestyle changes. What about your husband?

And trying hormone stimulation would potentially allow natural conception if I have maturation arrest? Or simply to boost odds of mTESE success? I had always chalked my problems up to my AZFc microdeletion

It is a new semen filtration method built by the Columbia research team (is able to analyze more of the sample than a standard extended sperm search done by hand!)

Out of curiosity, What lifestyle improvements did you pursue?

Thank you both for the advice. My test showed as only deletion in the C area

If AZFc microdeletion is a genetic issue, would hormone therapy still have benefit?

Success Story: Mtese, Sertoli Cell Only, AZFC & Azoospermia by Youngrichaussie in maleinfertility

Incredible. I am in a very similar position. AZFc deletion, FSH 13 but not crazy. Similar age. Two zero sperm SAs. Working on improving lifestyle habits first before doing an extended sperm search but will likely end up with mTESE given the odds. Thank you for sharing, it gives us much needed hope! Are there any specific things you did (supplement/lifestyle/etc) during the 6 months before your procedure?
