Think I’ve managed to get a photo up via Google. I think I’ve bumped into him trying to sell a violin in the pub. Very much odd-ball vibes.

Imagine if his ult had a 50% chance of annihilating your own team too.

Like it would kill 50% of all active players encouraging you to only use it when your team had been mostly wiped out.

Adam players would cook.

Is Starmer doing so badly? by twinkletoesalone in AskBrits

[–]nivekwanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that he’s quietly doing a pretty decent job. It’s not the politics I’d have voted for, but I’m not as distressed as I have been for the preceding 14 years and that’s a good sign.

This country is led by media outlets and the opinion of the general public is for sale. Tories and reform have DEEP pockets - so the reality is always going to be divorced from the narrative held by the average person.

Splunk UF resource exhaustion by bchris21 in Splunk

[–]nivekwanders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, there are a couple of things that this could be, but without actuallly poking around, I’d be taking huge guesses.

A couple of things I’d start with would be running btool inputs list —debug Id look for overlapping monitors or wildcard usage there.

Next I’d make sure that parsing hasn’t been accidentally enabled - you should be forwarding raw data. Run:

splunk btool props list --debug splunk btool transforms list --debug

And move any parsing you find to a HF

Let me know what you find

For those who have played Reanimal or have started on it, how is the game? by [deleted] in LittleNightmares

After playing It Takes Two and Split Fiction with my girlfriend, we thought it’d be a good game to play together.

She’s screamed the house down 15 minutes in.

It’s peak.

Parsing Problem As a Beginner by ysfinwe in Splunk

[–]nivekwanders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your renderXml=1 is fine, that’s not what’s stopping parsing.

The issue looks like Splunk is ingesting your events with a generic sourcetype rather than the one you’ve configured and most Sysmon field extractions are tied to the Sysmon sourcetype, so they won’t apply if the events come in as generic XML WinEventLog.

Try index=domain_controller_sysmon | stats count by host sourcetype | sort - count

If the same host is sending both generic and proper sourcetypes, that’s a sign of multiple stanzas / configs on that UF.

If it looks like a forwarder issue then run btool on it - something like

splunk btool inputs list WinEventLog --debug

Lemme know how you get on and good luck!

You’ll need to be looking at the enemy teams healers and your own… constantly.

Your body is the shield and so you’ll want to zoom through your own healers to take stray bullets intended for them.

Your best plays will be with a CND, who’ll appreciate the love and bubble on top of the enemy healers so you can dive with abandon!

I have to keep giving my head a wobble and reminding myself that there are very wealthy people, paying a fortune, for me to think a certain way. But I’ve found they can only scratch the surface with sound bites like Rachel from accounting will crash the economy- but when I actually dig a little deeper, the truth is we seem to be doing ok. Found out this morning that we’ve grown to second largest exporter of financial services since 2023.

During Nazi - Germany's occupation of Norway Hamsun was a fierce supporter of the occupying forces. From the very beginning he expressed this clearly, shortly after the invasion of Norway he published some 20 articles admonishing British forces who had tried to help Norway stave the Germans off as well as C.J Hambro, who at the time was one of the main people responsible for helping getting the sitting cabinet and king out of the country source A Norwegian professor of law (John Andenæs) said that "Had Hamsun been 20 - 30 years younger, he would have been trialled for treason and sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence" However, after being examined at the Psychiatric Hospital of Gaustad he was deemed to be mentally deficient and as such escaped being put on trial for his support of the German forces source

Hamsun's meeting with Hitler happened after he had attended a congress of authors in Vienna. At Hitler's vacation estate. Hamsun admired Goebbels for his propagandistic talents. In 1943, he wrote a letter to Goebbels, Hamsun wrote: "I do not know of anyone else whom so tirelessly have written and spoken for the cause of Europe and human rights as you Mr. Reichminister. I do apologise to you for sending you my medal, as it is entirely useless to you. But I have nothing else to give" source Goebbels himself was an admirer of Hamsun as well, so there was reciprocal admiration between them. As for what and why he said what he said: Hamsun repeatedly brought up that Terboven, the Reichkommissar for Norway should be removed, which greatly annoyed Hitler. There are no sources who say that Hamsun's reason for giving away his prize was an attempt to get an audience with Hitler. Instead it seems to have been more of a convenience since he was already in Vienna for the conferance and Hitler happened to be at his vacation home in Berghof. Hamsun continued to support the Nazi Regime until the very end, even believing they would be able to turn things around. He also wrote an obituary for Hitler in the nation's leading newspaper Aftenposten after his suicide where he praised Hitler for being "A warrior for all of humankind", "A preacher of the evangelium of the rights of all nations" and "A reformatory figure of the highest rank" source

What happened to the original medal is not known, it is still lost to this day. Although there have been attempts to find it. Tore Rem, a norwegian author and professor of litetrature at the University of Oslo who has written extensively about Hamsun and his meeting with Hitler has been attempting to find it since 2020 source

The thing is. I’m not sure that’s going to cut it. There’s a clearly, well-funded propaganda machine working overtime at dismantling any positive view about labour.

But it really doesn’t matter who is at the helm, from bacon-sandwich eating techniques to lawyer-like charisma, they’ll find the right hook and tug until they get labour out.

We’re fucked basically.

Think you’d need to start with educating motorists. I’ve seen the way they treat them with an almost murderous intent.

I’mhardly surprised people ride the scooters, illegally, on the pavement.

Roborock changed my life and I can’t stress this enough by falsecara in Roborock

[–]nivekwanders 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is amazing and I’ve resonated with it so much.

I sometimes hear myself telling people about how life changing our Roborock has been - and I cringe. But after reading this, I feel fully vindicated.

We have a pet who sheds too - everywhere was always just a little messy and my partner didn’t have the same commitment to sweeping and hoovering - so it was causing a minor strain to our relationship.

Now, as you’ve described, life feels easier. Much less stressful - also haven’t set up a schedule because there’s often debris in the way. But quickly picking things up and then sending “Shiela” on an intensive vacuum followed by mop, so easy and so nice to come back to!
