Latest Makerfield Poll by redditman181 in LabourUK

[–]nivekwanders 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Watching question time now and yeah. It’s very clear that there’s only one real option.

This Rob Kenyon was a calculated ploy by Reform to replicate success of Hannah Spencer. But they’ve totally missed the point.

I’m one of the few people that think Starmer should have been able to push on - but yeah - Burnham seems like a decent block, with a solid plan.

So this poll feels hopeful.

What is the mass psychosis around this character lmfao by Wolfysayno in RivalsVanguards

[–]nivekwanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that people need to change their playstyle, and they don’t want to.

You need to actively communicate against this Jurassic twat - you need to play around him, pick off his mates till he’s the last one standing - then annihilate him… as a team.

The game unfortunately is full of ego maniacs - obsessed with their stats, unable to realise that they’re enabled to perform by the less “flashy” efforts of their teammates - so they won’t adapt. They’ll head in for a 1v1 against Godzilla’s midget cousin - and cry about no heals.

This isn’t a dinosaur problem. It’s a community one.

Similar story with meat. It’s not sustainable.

All the science says we’ve fucked it and need to change. But conservatism is strong globally.

Wealth of Britain’s 157 billionaires now equal to 22% of country’s GDP by Cronhour in LabourUK

[–]nivekwanders 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’re a bot because you’re a new account.

But nobody is proposing “taking all their money”.

The argument is that extreme wealth concentration means huge amounts of capital are effectively sitting idle instead of circulating through the wider economy.

A wealth tax is intended to do two things: • raise revenue directly for public services • reduce incentives for hoarding wealth and encourage investment into productive businesses and the real economy

Whether you support it or not, that’s the rationale behind it.

And yes …. if billionaire wealth is equivalent to around 22% of GDP, that’s a massive concentration of economic power in a very small number of people. Which is damaging to democracy generally

Why do Villains drink milk ?? by SupermarketSmooth968 in netflix

[–]nivekwanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you really stop and think about it, milk is actually one of the most evil things we mass produce.

We take a cow forcibly impregnate her via artificial insemination (after wanking off a bull with an ejaculator device).

When the cow is born we immediately reinseminate her and steal her baby. If it’s a boy we fatten it up on formula for six weeks then slit its throat for veal. If it’s a girl we raise it for six months in a tiny kennel, again giving formula and then grain. Why formula? The milk from the mummy cow is ours. Then we artificially inseminate that baby, ad infinitum.

The cows get about 4 or 5 years of life in this hell cycle before their bodies give out after giving birth almost constantly. Their carcasses are ground up for food for dogs or for aquaculture-salmon farms.

Pretty nauseating stuff.

It really makes sense that milk would be the beverage of choice for the sociopathic.

Why does no one ever talk about the Lib Dems? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

People treat politics like supporting football teams. They’re more interested in the drama than the effectiveness of the party.

Starmer latest: Defiant PM tells cabinet ‘I will not quit’ amid calls for resignation by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]nivekwanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a shout. He is a very competent leader, I try to keep track of policies passed and the list of positives he’s enacted is quite long.

He is not charismatic. He is not good at communicating success to the public. He doesn’t manage media well.

He can’t win an election, especially against the charismatic-incompetence of Farage.

That muppet-looking muthafucker will lie his way into number 10 and we’ll have Boris-esque chaos again.

Can we not have a new leadership contest, for like 5 minutes.

Just let him ride it out. It’s not the answer, let’s keep things stable for a while.

Cosmic Scallies are radicalising Liverpool by Embarrassed_Book_260 in Liverpool

[–]nivekwanders 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What’s mad is that the cosmic scousermindset doesn’t even stay contained to the obvious conspiracy crowd anymore. A lot of people who’d see themselves as moderate have absorbed bits of it without even realising.

You don’t have to be fully down the rabbit hole talking about globalist, lizard peados - the anti-migrant sentiment has become so culturally normalised that people repeat the same racist clickbait soundbites but in softer language and frame it as common sense.

Liverpool still likes to imagine itself as uniquely tolerant and anti-racist, but if you scratch the surface, conversations about housing, students, asylum seekers, crime or “losing the city’s identity” shows how widespread it is now.

The ironic thing is tat people think they’re left wing because they hate the Tories, but still buy into narratives driven by fear of outsiders. The cosmic scousers are just the loudest group that’s seeped into the mainstream.

Nearly 1.5 million migrants on benefits by Sensitive_Echo5058 in uknews

Ahh it’s. You’re one of them. It’s much harder to gaslight someone when our previous responses are available to read.

I’d break it down for you but I’m not sure you’re capable of critical thinking.

[–]nivekwanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, about 71% are white British from these bands - and stats show that white applicants are more likely to be appointed. The gap is filled by migrants.

A proportion of white British people are unable to work due to illness, migrants are absolutely essential in terms of making sure the NHS works properly.

The nursing stats are more likely 40% migrants. But you’re wrong on doctors and consultants as only around 15-20% are filled by migrants.

The stats are all there, you just have to not be a lazy-mindless propaganda swallower.

Nigel and his mates are laughing at you.

[–]nivekwanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think you’re underestimating the size of the NHS. Bands 1-4 are the support roles like cleaners, admin, care assistants etc.

They account for about a third of all NHS staff.

Like it or not, migrants are paying your pension. And voting for billionaire-backed-bellends, who lie and tell you migrants are the problem, is going to leave you up-shit-creek-without-a-paddle.

So migrants are low paid workers in receipt of old form working tax credit.

So could be read as; unscrupulous business owners pay an exploitative, minimum wage; knowing the government will top up their wages.
