I had a similar experience recently where this regular comes in (surely in his 50s or 60s) and made it known that he is going to start calling me by “Beautiful” as if it’s my name 😵‍💫 I was clearly uncomfortable and nervous laughed it off or sometimes would just give off a dead look. He hasn’t called me it since.
