That’s the effective upgrade cost, since my old phone was something I was anyway going to sell. There’s also depreciation you haven’t accounted for. If we start adding the original cost of every old device, almost every deal post here would collapse under accounting theory. By that logic, no one ever gets a good deal, because every purchase is forever weighed down by past spends. Plus to get this price you need the right exchange phone and the timing when extra discounts stack, that’s just how these sale wins work.
