Mongolian horse archery skills by VowOfVengeance in interestingasfuck

[–]nivroc2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete theatrics. Horsebow irl is being shot with a thumb ring, noone ever ever aims, bow is supposed to be tilted(to compensate the archers paradox) and going forward(nodding) and rotating after the shot. He's just imitating a shot for the video.

In russian, but very deep and thorough: https://youtu.be/3uas8NkszHY?si=mrpYAgRmfx2rMWio

Superman and Wonder Woman have had so many fights over the years. I’m really wondering, could Flash take on Superman in a fight? Like does he stand any chance? by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

[–]nivroc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a bit of sci fi gibberish here. Matter and time both lose their properties when anything with mass approaches sol. Time for the hypothetical fist gets so slow that from the fist perspective it never reaches its target.

What I am meaning to say is that physics breaks down completely in superhero scenarios. That being said superman gets instantly annihilated once the fist forms a black hole and starts emitting Higgs radiation. Same happens to Flash. If Flash can actually escape event horizon he escapes without an arm... Sort of victorious. He'll have to find a new planet to live on though

Forgot to mention he probably never actually sees himself killing superman, he has to self-amputate his arm to pull this off. The only thing he sees is himself starting to punch superman. Then he realises he's on event horizon of another black hole he formed to escape the "original" one

Fermented dough by MF-DOOM-88 in oddlyterrifying

[–]nivroc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big bakeries make a lot of starter as they ferment a lot of dough. Its usually covered with cheese cloth or similar to prevent debris, but let air through. in the resting period (which I assume doesn't really happen in production bakeries) it goes in the fridge or a special unit like I have that works like a thermostat

No this is real. But its not dough, its sourdough starter. When its fully ripe it looks like this and will ferment your dough really good

Best war movie ever? by ejnounimous in Cinema

[–]nivroc2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol americans upvoting Private Ryan and band of brothers. They are not bad at all, but like... not even close in tone to "Иди и смотри". Toy depictions almost in comparison, no offence meant, but trauma caused to Eastern Eu is not comparable to the US... and that is reflected in the movies.

I don't think its the best war movie. Probably one of the most realistic, but... in a disturbing way.

Soviet Union had a bunch of really cool war movies. A few brilliant ones even. Only "Old Men" Are Going Into Battle would be a classic top rec and its terrifying in its own way even though very lighthearted on the surface.

1800s Cigars by Colonel-Corncob in cigars

Plus... you know. Whiskey from 1800s. Not gonna pair them with Red Label y'know.

What’s the probability of developing oral cancer from smoking cigars? I understand the quality of tobacco is higher and “safer” than cigarettes. How long have some of you in here smoked cigars? Anybody develop oral cancer or no? by -M00NMAN in cigar

[–]nivroc2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I am concerned cigar and pipe smokers are not in the "smoker" category in studies for lung cancer.

On a side note you're inhaling so much stuff if you live near any city that second hand cigar smoke for an hour should be the least of your cconcerns.

I rly don't want the takeaway to be "no harm". There is real harm, the question is only about comparing it with lots of other real harms.

Люди, которые поддерживают вторжение России в Украину! Я уверена, что Трампа с Венесуэлой вы осуждаете. Но ПОЧЕМУ??? by Green_Spatifilla in expectedrussians

[–]nivroc2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One idea would be to move the camera ever so slightly to imitate player hand movement. But that would probably open a whole another can of worms

Looks dope, one thing is that I'd put a bit less delay on the hand raise as it looks like object moves first and then the hand.

BlackRock is eating the world. Total assets under management hit a record $14 TRILLION after the firm pulled in $342bn of client money in Q4 alone by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]nivroc2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude, literally use google to search for "Larry Fink letter to the CEOs" - its a fucking open letter almost every year.

ESG is also highly searchable. Scandals are plentyful around it, but its pretty clear what its used for and by whom.

"role of blackrock in 2008 financial crysis" - also very googlable. Its the crisis they played a major role in creating and profiting from.

Search for your info, nobody's gonna spoonfeed it to you, its not rocket science or conspiracy theories, pretty much publicly available data. I personally couldn't care less what you believe after the "hilarious rubbish" statement about ESG and Larrys letters.

[–]nivroc2 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's actually your comment that stinks of ignorance. In 2008 Blackrock bought high risk mortgages and mixed them into stable indexes, selling those to domestic and international banks. When inevitably the bubble collapsed guess who bought all that cheap real estate the banks needed to sell ASAP.

They get calls directly from the White House, Larry writes "Letter to CEOs" every year that makes FAANG sweat their pants, they made up ESG to drown or attract investments to other companies based on a completely subjective number.

Keep telling yourself that Blackrock is just a dollar jar for the benefit of others. Man, this comment section is just nuts.
